I've been thinking of acquiring one.
no it's not mine and i don't know the seller. i live in los angeles. i just mentioned it because there have been threads recently complaining about rising prices, yet i still see deals every week. this being one of them. there are a number of aerodynes under $800 on reverb too.

So, with that in mind, I may as well post some of the better pics here for posterity.
Please save me some time and provide a link where I can get a decal pickguard made (yes I know about the non-exports but I have an export and want to add a bit of color to it). Thank you.
I'd like to say you might be able to get one from WD Music, but I just checked their site and it says they've suspended custom order for the time being. Still, give them a call and see what they have to say, especially since things are slowly opening up now. The worst they can do is say "Sorry, no."
Under normal circumstances, they'd be able to cut a custom guard with a tracing of the original guard (they don't appear to have Aerodyne guards for quick sales, but that's something else you can ask them about) and a high enough resolution image.

Here's one for somebody that likes a high action, or a simple neck-replacement project for someone who doesn't:
For Sale - Non-Export Fender Aerodyne (Project?)
I put a thumb rest on my export model, and I'll be keeping that one and looking for something more P-like as well. This pretty one needs to go to someone that likes to work on them more than I do. Lawdy, I can barely find time to pick one up and play it! (After spending a bunch of time on TB every day which of course is one of life's necessities.)
