Fender Aerodyne Club!

Yeah that looks good!:hyper: What brand are those and how do you like the tone? Going to order some Rotosounds and want to try some others too.

They're DR Black Beauties (50-105's). I like a more aggressive tone, something with a bit of bite (much like the Ernie Ball Cobalts I love so very, very much!), and they deliver. I'm told that, by construction, they're coated DR Sunbeams. And they are pretty bright. The coating is so thin that it doesn't impact the sound in any appreciable manner.

My main bass for five years and dozens of gigs and two albums, now in temporary retirement from live work.

Battle scars and holes where I had ashtrays, plus smashed plastic on the p-pickup. No idea how - I play with my fingers and don't slap much.

An exciting bass to play - and one of the few instruments I'll never surrender.

i have an aerodyne.so how do i get into the club?

Easy! First, you get yourself a bull. Second, you take it and your Aerodyne to the top of the tallest mountain you can find. Then you beat it to death with your Aerodyne as a sacrifice to some nameless Pagan God. If your bass is still playable, you're in!

Just kidding! :D

Catbuster will likely give you a number when he logs on…and then he'll probably take mine away for the very bad joke. :bawl:

And, no, we prefer thunder gods like Zeus and Thor. And you cannot under any circumstances substitute a goat.

Okay, I'm done.

Don't own an Aerodyne (though I have considered it), but I was thinking it would be sweet to put a Warmoth (or other custom bass company) Jazz neck on it. Maple neck, cream binding, ebony or rosewood fretboard with no inlays.

Yay or nay? If I ever get an Aerodyne Jazz I just might do this to it...
