Fender American Deluxe P bass 5 string Eyecandy

if you ever want to trade i have a 2006 fender 5 string 60th anniversary american dlx jazz 5 i would trade for one of your p bass dlx 5
A bass player at my church has the 5 string in cherry burst , had it for years and babies it ! i mean every time he puts it in the case he spends 5 minuts polishing it down first,

I like the sunburst one better. Very nice basses, though. My friend owns a 4-string version of this bass. When I play it, I solo the P pickup. The active P sound just absolutely pounds! Sting one with rounds and one with flats. Then you'll be set for ANY gig.
i have a dlx 5502 skyline burst with barts,,i really need a p bass dlx 5 if anyone has one ,or know anyone that want to trade please call asap 804-328-2772
For a dyed-in-the-wool Jazz & Spector guy I've always loved the American DLX Ps - the Dual Coil Humbucker in the bridge position is so much *more* then your standard P/J setup and gives the perfect amount of J-bass "growl" to the Precision sound. For me, it would be the only P-bass I'd choose to own.
One of my ideas for a custom bass is to have this pickup arrangement used in a Jazz 5-string bass, as the ergonomics of J-basses are far more my ideal than P-basses. The best of both worlds and I'd finally have a quasi-P-bass in my collection!

Very happy with it but still wonder about the differences between the Nordstrand Single coil solo'd vs the Humbucker in the Deluxe.

to me its two different worlds.the lakie may have a better feel,colors,design than the p bass,but the pb5 has nailed the sound of that grizzly top,and that one mile lion bottom..the lakie will come close, and you can dial so many tone with her,but i dont want to dial, i want it to sound the same way every time i pick it up..if i have a tone selection switch in which i can select,i would always catch myself changing to see if i like this sound better...in a nutshell..Fender presented it ,perfected it,voiced it.i heard felt,liked.i just traded my 5502 and are @ the presence looking to trade a DR Heartfield Custom 6 for a fender p dlx 5.once i get one ,,,GAME OVER FOR ME.AS FAR AS .PURCHASING OR TRADING BASSES
