Fender American Performer Precision Bass- thoughts?

These Performer Precisions are hard to get by here in the UK… Several months wait time at the moment!
I pre-ordered one (white/rosewood) and it *should* arrive end of April.
Been wanting a good PJ Precision and I have good memories of the one I tried a few years ago.
I might stick with the stock pickups and bridge, but I wouldn’t hesitate to upgrade them to make the bass my number 1!

why not just grab a real fender body?My American Performer neck still patiently waiting for delivery of its Warmoth P Bass body. I’ve heard it’s a 20 week lead time!!! Argh

Here is the TRUTH
I went to a retail chain store to look at the Blue/maple and found the neck felt all wrong.
I have had a 3 tone sunburst AM Performer and neck did not feel right to me..
I am comfortable on AM Pro Precision maple necks ...But AM STD Precision necks were too chunky for my thumb
I have found I LOVE the AM Performer Jazz necks and do not love the AM Pro jazz necks..
But love AM STD Jazz necks
Anyway...I wanted to say ...Every Fender bass is different ...and you need to try each one to know if it feels right and is a weight that works for you...
I meant that I recently went to buy another Blue/maple Precision and it did not feel as good as my Blue

I really love my performer Murphy! And I really like the Status neck. The bass has a very special sound and feel. Totally different animal that my other P.
Something I love about it is that it doesn’t need any humidification at all even is it’s extremely dry here in the mountains…
