They do!Millions of them each and every year. Fender sells more electric guitars and basses than all other companies combined.

I love the new basses. Means they're trying to get rid of the old ones. Enabled me to get a MIA Precision last week from Zzounds for $926 with free shipping.![]()
Also, if the American Standard is gone, so is the American Jaguar, right?
I am a bit worried about this....
They are the masters of repackaging the same thing and getting people to buy it. Nothing here to get excited about IMOSo...are these just re-badged American standards??? They don't seem any different, other than colour options.
Another specific characteristic is the new logo: No more Made in USA.

I'm sorry, but the E string is either twisted or they are using some weird effect for the video on the low side. Listen to that E string
That's not what AII (or any pickup) is supposed to sound like.
It seems that Fender addresses everything but the one feature that bugs me the most about their basses-terrible neck dive. I have yet to play a recent Fender that balances like a G&L, Lakland, ESP, Bacchus, Music Man, etc. When the new American Standards came out I went to Guitar Center and tried a bunch out. They all had neck dive, even with a strap! Sorry to rant but it bugs me that a $1200 bass has balancing issues.
