What’s the weight range on the American Jaguars? I’m casually on the hunt for a white one as close to 9lbs as I can find. A sunburst came up locally that was right at 9lbs and I seriously considered it, but I’m just not a sunburst guy.

Mine is 9 lbs, and they seem to hover around that mark from what I’ve experienced.

Im Wondering if anyone around here could do me a solid and measure the distance from the nut to the centerline of the P pickup, and maybe also from the edge of the neck heel to the neck-side edge of the P pickup. Looking at building a Jaguar and need to confirm if the American Standard measurements work for my project. Thank you!!

Nut to center line of P pickup is 28 1/4” following the A string

Neck heel to top of P pickup is 3 5/16” also following the A string.

It would be so cool if they did an American Vintage level release of these. Nitro, some old jaguar colors, high-end build, etc.

I'd like one just a bit lighter coming in a 8.5lbs. I find the build quality on the american jags to be solid. Some other finishes would be great, and some lighter body wood blanks.

I’ve got a U.S. Jaguar and a ‘75 Precision and detect no difference due to the pickup placement.

The Jaguars were extremely well made. My only hope in a reissue would be expanded color range, matching headstocks and a 70s style logo.

I've had this bass 4 years. It plays amazing, maybe the best of all of my guitars. It's not where my ears are tonally these days, although it does sound fantastic. I got it to be a P-bass essentially. Anybody want to talk me out of selling it?
