Fender AVRI 54 p-bass bridge cover

Has anyone installed a bridge cover on their 51-54-telecaster bass? Do you have any advice about the placement?

I've installed them on reissue slabs before. I did it visually w/out a template.

I prefer the bridge remain exposed on my 51/55.

Based on my 1953 P, I'd say that it is not all that critical the exact mounting for the bridge cover. It can be seen that the holes in relation to the bridge are not exact.
