Fender Bass pics

Urge to buy Roscoe Beck rising!

This bass is literally everything I could want in a bass guitar. Have you played one? If not, you have these two pickups which are double coil. Each pickup has a mini-toggle which allows you to have that pickup as single-coil, parallel, or series. There is a three-way switch for simple pickup choices rather than two volumes. A lot of Jazz Bass players are going to complain that they couldn't get that perfect tone they get by rolling the neck pup back a little, right? To compensate for this, if you pull the tone knob up it drops the output of the neck pup just enough to get that perfect growly two-pickup tone. I sat and figured out that I can get 24 different pickup combinations using the switches. Throw in the fact that it is just a great sounding bass = perfect for me.

If only the RB was available without the cowboy cosmetics.
Do ya mean the funky pickguard? I thought it was funny too, but it grew on me. I think it's the fact that it is so different than other basses. It really is a frankenbass, but it sounds so good! The pickguard is a lot like the old ameoba style P-Bass pickguards, like you find on the Mike Dirnt P.
