Fender bass ??

They are asking $600. I think it looks pretty sweet but I'm in Florida and it is in Pennsylvania so I'm not going to buy it. If it was where I could check it out things may be different.
I've never bought an instrument sight-unseen. I just don't have the money to gamble like that.
No two instruments sound/play/feel/look the same...
 
Dudes...it's a MIM Classic 50's P-bass that someone's installed a J p-up in the bridge position...is it really that hard to tell!?

That does look like a MIM 50's neck with a brass nut. The MIM serial number is missing though. The tuning machines are wrong for any of the Japan RI's.
 
Here is my 50's Classic for comparison. This is the non-nitro model.
