Just to try the easiest things, did you reset the auto bias? Press and hold both the up and down bias buttons buttons for several seconds.
Didn't help but thank you.

There were some significant bias issues with these early on, but by now it should have been fixed by Fender. If this is an early model and the bias circuit is the issue most service agents will be familiar with it and it should be a straightforward repair/part replacement. If it was me I would not let it deter me so long as the seller will get it fixed.

Got it for 900
Yeah.. not bad.. now you just have to figure it out.. I have the SB300 and I love it.. I would show off but this is your thread!

The one on the left is a very rare Fender Custom Shop Rumble Bass 300 tube amp and the one on the far right is the SB300, the four ten cabs are also from the Corona CA Fender Custom Shop.. one is a full range with horn, the other is a 410 sub cab.. Both loaded with Eminence speakers and both cabs are rated at 600 watts. There was only a total of 60 amps made.. I would have to look up the numbers again, but the build numbers on the cabs are really low too.. The SVT is a 1994 SLM and I am really impressed with how well those Epifani 15s sound with the tube amps!
I'm going to predict that once this gets into the shop it will be the ribbon cable that connects the auto bias circuit to the main board. My early 100T developed an almost identical problem, and that's what it was.so I just got an additional 100t as a backup. I got it used and it travelled from Colorado to Minnesota. Upon arrival I noticed one of the tubes was bad. No biggie and replaced. The auto-bias/status lights are going crazy and I can't get any sound other than a gnarly alien. The lights go from all green, to orange/red on tubes 1a/1b, back to green, to orange/red on tubes 2a/2b, back to green, to all tubes red...and on and on. The seller is dealer and is definitely responding and I could return, but this is the blonde/oxblood and I really do want a backup.
Any ideas what is up?

That is what we can call a "real world test". Goes to show that Fender still makes them as strong as they used to, when you consider how many Bassman 100s from the seventies are still going strong - and yours has certainly seen a lot of gigs as well. I can still remember when I had a similar experience with an all-tube head from another well known tube head manufacturer and was faced with a considerable repair bill.100T TAKES A HEADER ONTO THE SIDEWALK. MY LIFE PASSES BEFORE MY EYES.
We played a gig Wednesday night at my neighborhood pub, where I've loaded in and out many times. I have a Crane 250 dolly/cart which I use in dolly mode. I have never strapped things down, the 100T sits on top of the 410Neo, gig bag straps to the handle, and it all balances and rolls great. This time I had to come in from a side where the sidewalk makes a turn and there's just enough room to get the dolly through. Well I don't know what happened exactly, I was distracted or something... OK hell I was flirting with this hot girl as I made the turn, one wheel went off the curb, the 410 hits on its side and the 100T slams to the sidewalk upside down, the most horrible sound I've ever heard. Picked it up and shook it, no shattered glass. Took it in and hooked it up, standby mode normal, no smoke. Powered up and bias lights flash a couple of times and go to green, still no smoke. Played the 3.5 hour gig with no problems.
So that's an early Merry Christmas to me. Had my covers on so no visible (or otherwise I guess) damage to head or cab. I think my butt finally unclenched this morning.

The Debils tone.Does anyone care to share their favourite overdrive channel settings for this amp?
The NEO Bassman 810? Wow! I wish they'd do that here in Australia! I'd probly grab 2This may seem silly, but I can't stop thinking about it. Did anybody score one of the Fender 8x10s from Musician's Friend last week? They had them as the stupid deal of the day for something like $499, but were sold out by the time I had justified the completely unnecessary purchase.
