Fair enough. I spent a couple of months in Belen and Fortaleza, and I probably lost a measurable amount of blood to those little bloodsuckers, before I discovered the good stuff.
For those of you who may be interested, the pups in the Blacktop Jazz measured at 5.45ohms, both neck and bridge are the same.
Also, another P/P pass I have, the pickups also matched impedence wise, both producing ~11k on the multimeter.
So, it's a sample size of two, but for those of you looking to replace your BTJ pups, at least two vendors matched them bridge and neck.

I have a Fender Blacktop Precision Bass since 2013. It is withe crhome pearl, but it's getting a little greenish.
Did it already happens to someone else??

I sold my Blacktop yesterday. I just wanted to free up some space & recently discovered a pitch shift pedal, which allows me to lessen the amount of instruments with different tunings.
It was a shame to let it go after all the work I did shielding it and rewiring it, but now it's a better instrument & the new owner can benefit from it.
It was nice to gain the experience from working on it & having completed the little project.
TBH, I was worried about the neck, because it had started bowing with heavy gauge strings on it.
I managed to straighten it back up again, but the local luthier claims that sort of re-straightening only lasts a few months. I had been hanging it ever since straightening the neck. Hopefully it won't start bowing again if the new owner puts it on a stand, or in a case, instead.
I sold my Mexican Stratocaster recently as well, after I got a G&L Comanche, so the only Fender product I own at the moment is a little Rumble 15.

Tone knob and cap removed, fancy output added. Plug a single cord into the bottom jack, both pups work normally as designed, plug in a second cord in the upper jack and the pickups split, neck out bottom and bridge out the top with independent volume controls.

Sounds nice with a DOD250 giving light crunch to the bridge and the neck clean. Press an LS2 to toggle between two sounds.
Plus two cords! Looks more badass than a single TRS.
The stock "Blacktop Precision Pickups" were 5.45Kohms, the mystery manufactured BC Rich pickups were 11K.
If I decide to replace my BTJ pups (original plan was to put the mystery BCRs in, but they don't fit!), I'd probably just aim to balance them output wise as they are now, just with replacements. Right now I'm tossing around the idea of Duncan SPB-4, although I may just fit that to the neck and then try a SPB-3 in the bridge. The big poles'll look swank and I'm a big fan of the way the Steve Harris sigs sound in demos.
It's taken me forever to get around to doing this, but here is my (heavily modified) Blacktop Precision Bass #1. The first owner had tried to do some kind of "swirl" paint job on it. The second owner hated the swirl; sanded it off the body (sometimes down to bare wood) and replaced the original neck with a Mighty Mite. I sent it over to CinCity Customs for an orange pearl paint job and replaced the Mighty Mite neck with the neck from a Precision Bass Special and had the electronics upgraded by Metro Guitar Service, so that now we have the bass I like to call "Big Orange."
I (obviously) loves me some orange. If you want anything painted, I give a big thumbs up to Cincity Customs. You can find 'em on Facebook.
