bad phrasing on my part - the dealer I am working with did the call for me
Your best bet it to call the dealer and while on the phone with them have the dealer call the Custom Shop.

And that, my friend, is a good analogy to clay dots. Are they there or not? That’s cool. Had you said “IMO”, instead of
“I think markers on the fretboard are totally unnecessary and purely aesthetic.”
I wouldn’t be writing this now.
So the final spec sheet is signed and approved, deposit made, and order had been placed. 12+ months lead time. Now the hard part....the waiting, lol!
Although compared to what I was quoted initially with a Vince Van Trigt Masterbuilt (4-5 year lead time), 12+ months doesn't seem so bad!![]()
What are the specs? Did you post them?
The Custom Shop does a nice greenburst!
Fender Custom Shop Ron Thorn Masterbuilt Thinline Tele Greenburst ,Vibra-Dyne Vibrato R109988 | Coda Music | Reverb
I didn’t think so but someone here on TB had a recent CS P with it so they apparently still have some available. You all know whether Brazilian rosewood can be spec'd from the FCS these days?
Does anyone know where I can find a saddle for a Fender Vintage bridge in gold? It came defective on a relic Mary Kay P I bought a year ago. Fenders response was “buy it from Stewmac.” I expected a different response in relation to a new top of the line instrument and I am looking for a relic to match the new FCS bass. The dealer has been trying to get one for 6 months.
Any thoughts?
Did you buy the bass new from a FCS dealer? I ask because the FCS Custom Care promise on their website states "Fender Musical Instruments Corporation guarantees that your Custom Shop instrument will be expertly crafted according to your specifications and will arrive free of defects. If not, we'll repair, modify or replace the instrument at no charge to you." Also, it says that original owners who register their instrument get the Fender warranty extension with limited lifetime coverage.Does anyone know where I can find a saddle for a Fender Vintage bridge in gold?
