Fender Custom Shop Club

The day HAS ARRIVED!! Finally! After ordering my Custom Shop P Bass build through Sweetwater back in July of 2021, it is now on it's way to me! What started as a Teambuilt bass, turned out to be a Dennis Galuszka Masterbuilt bass! And he nailed all of the specific appointments I asked for....especially when it came to the neck.

Here's my new "1968 MBDG Precision Journeyman Relic"

I really like the look on this one. Great specs as well. Congratulations.

Guys. Recently picked up a used Custom Shop Jazz. The tuners feel really stiff and sticky. Has anyone had this issue? I saw a video from stew Mac how to take the tuner apart, use some grease and triflo to unstick it. Is this the best option?

My CS 64 Jazz has this same problem. Curious to find out the best remedy.

Ive used this method to great success. Whether reissue, custom shop, mim or even pre/post cbs these vintage fender tuners get sticky.

Forgot to add. I made a custom drill bit bass peg holder so I can work the lube through the tuners without turning my wrists a million times. Gotta keep my wrists in good shape while I’m young haha.

Hey folks, what does B2 mean in the description of a CS bass, or guitar in that matter? As in “Fender Custom Shop B2 68 Jazz.”
