Fender FSR Club

My JB, from Argentina. Hipshot A + Hipshot HB7.
What string spacing did you order for the Hipshot A bridge?

The dual coil Aguilars do a good job of the classic Fender Single coil tone with absolutely no noise

I've heard good things about the Aggie p/u's. I may have to give them a try.
I did recently install a Noll pre in my FSR and it sounds really good! Great active sound and still can run it passive (p/p passive tone control).

I use Aggy's in a bunch of my P basses. They are my standard pickups for all my new builds. I have read good things about their P/J sets and may try those in my Aerodyne.

I just found this club!

I have a Fender MIM FSR Jazz (2008) w/Fender CS 60s PUPs and Fender 7150 Strings (see my avatar).

Bought her new in Feb 2009 (my first bass) - upgraded the PUPs in 2015. Very nicely matched two piece ash body - very balanced - very resonant.
I have the 2014 model like yours. I originally put Aguilar 60's dual coils in it.

Here is my 2014 FSR Honey Burst Nirto Satin P Bass.....
I put on a black pickguard for that 70's look and Fender Original 62 pickups.

Bassa Nova - you are member #97

Welcome to the club! :)

I thought that I would post something as this thread does not get that much action despite the potential for having many more members.

I have been playing my 2008 Fender FSR Natural Ash Jazz (see my avatar)of late. I had been playing my Squier CV 60s P and was in a P with flats phase for awhile, but I started working on some Jerry Jemmot (King Curtis)stuff and thought that the jazz would be appropriate. I really do love this bass. It looks and feels great, but the tone is really warm. I have Fender CS 60s with Fender pure nickel rounds on this bass. While pickups do not have the highest output, the bass hits that tone than I am looking for. Plus it always feels like home for me when I play it.

I'll take a number please.
Here's mine - a recent MIJ Fender FSR '75 Jazz with P/J configuration, in Aged Candy Apple Red w/Parchment pickguard. One of the finest Jazz Basses I've ever played.

Wow, I don't think I've seen one of those before!
A number is certainly on your way, wait for it...
