Fender FSR Club

Man, Im normally not much of a natural finish fan, plus i usually prefer maple fretboards.. But I absolutely love those MIM ash bodied jazz basses! :eek:

Wait until you hear one! At today's lesson, I played my Atkinson P while my instructor played my MIM FSR J. Tone heaven!! Not to mention affordable, playable and easy on the eyes.

My deluxe active special, bought here on TB. Nothing else is being played lately.

Well, I said in this post that mine was on the way (on backorder.) It arrived yesterday!

This is the ash version of the Standard MIM Jazz, as you can see below.

Here are my straight-out-of-the box photos so that y'all can look at the grain etc, which I quite like!

It will need a set-up, I'm putting TI flats on it, and I'm thinking of going with a Badass bridge... but even now it sounds lovely - a very classic Jazz tone with lots of richness and character.

Number, please!

These basses are hard to resist. Obviously, I couldn't resist...and have been pleased to find that they sound as good as they look, as everyone has been saying. After playing this with TI flats for a few days, I just sold my Pedulla, because this bass covers so much sonic territory. (Not as much as the Pedulla by itself, but this bass combined with others I have made the MVP a luxury I couldn't afford.)

At the low price these are out there for, I'd say go for it!

Me: I'm done buying basses, I just got my new FSR P, black PG looks good.

<sees this>

Break out the wallet.

Ehh, it's a looker but I can't do it. I already have a VM jazz with Model J's
