That sweet 83 Fullerton J on Reverb is pretty cherry but seller wont budge much from asking price. I just cant fathom $3k+ for that bass. Is that unreasonable? Anyone wanna part with an 83 RI 62 J?

anything over 2k and id rather be patient and find a stripped/refin precbs j. my 83 is a cool bass, but is a different thing than an actual 62. my slab 62j has a fuller neck, not such exaggerated contours and is just bigger sounding. however, if the ultra thin contours and slimmer than vintage neck is what youre after, only a fullerton ri will do. otherwise, the corona reissues feel more like a 62 jazz.

Alder 100%, only trans-white were ash.

The serial number is V118XXX. It has the tweed hard case.

Anybody know?
