"Plays like margarine" just doesn't roll off the tongue in the same way though.

Anyone found a way to adjust the truss rod without removing the neck? Why make the notch if you can't get in there anyway?
The standard Fender 3/16 "T" handle tool works perfectly. Same tool as the American Series. Second easiest truss rod adjuster to the wheel style on MM's and Peaveys.
My new Fender came with a kit for a Strat - no allen key for adjusting the intonation, an extra one for adjusting the bridge on a Strat, and a tremolo arm.
Just call them and tell them you got the wrong kit. Worst case, you can also find them on eBay. It's a T-shaped wrench with a red rubberized handle.
*Thanks, I'll try and call them tomorrow. by the way, the Fatsound decal is in the mail and should be to you soon but it is taking the slow boat. Sorry for the wait.
The Greasebucket circuit dampens the lowend resonant peak of a standard tone control.

Why would you want that??

interesting, i was thinking of upgrading mine with seymur duncan antiquity 1 with raise A pole but its so expensive >_<
In the old days they coated in Fullerplast and then finished in nitro.its Nitrocellulose lacquer on top.. Underneath that is Epoxy.. so its not true Nitro its a good marketing scheme is what it is..
Hey we will tell them its Lacquer like the good old days and fool them all by applying a epoxy sealer coat.. Suckers..
Still a great bass.![]()
I've always had a soft spot for these basses from when they first came out, love the big '70's logo and the one I played felt & sounded great. But at that moment in time it was well out of my price range, ironic now years later I have a new Am.Std Precision "but" still like the look of these ones.
