fender jaguar bass guitar

Call and ask for David (if that's his real name!). He was the one that answered the phone both times I called...first time, he said that the $499 was Friday only, and offered me the $499 on a road-worn Strat.

Second time, I said..."I heard that you guys were running a 15% off deal if I say '15 Done'...can you combine this with the free amp special?" Some click-clack of the keyboard later, and he says "Yeah, it looks like we can offer you an extra 15%".

Best of luck, it's a damn good deal. I almost bought it at $600 for the combo, still better than what I got for that pricepoint when I was starting out a few years back.

I picked up a White Jag, today. I like this better than a vintage Jazz I sold in the late 80's. As far as the weight..this Jag is replacing an 86 Aria SB Elite II as my main. The Jag is feather lite, compared to the Aria.

GC, MF, Music123, SamAsh, and other on-line retailers are pricing these at $599.99, and describing them as "discontinued" or "clearance" items. Does anyone know if this refers to this year's model only, or is the Jaguar really being deleted from Fender's line-up? Great pricing, by the way, and congrats to you lucky ones who got them for $499.99 shipped last Friday!

I dont know if there discounting them, i plan on selling the amp, and i think i may just leave the bass in the box for awhile seeing as i dont have use for it, myabe i will forget about it and pull it out 20 years from now and it will be worth something

I was led to believe that they are going away forever. That's why I jumped on getting one, yesterday. I gave $599, yet the tag had $869. The $499 you guys are talking about is a super deal. I had my last bass for 20 years...After 24 hours with the new Jag, I like it enough to take to the grave.

they are awesome basses.

but make sure the electronics are ok before you buy... those are the first to go on those things. the pickup config is a bit complicated, and the quality isn't 100% to last. but **** it doesn't matter if you take care of it.

I'd pick one up in a sec if it was in good shape for a good price!

Where'd you hear this? I've been googling, but can't find any info. Just curious, it'll be kinda cool if I end up with one from the last MIJ batch.

The owner of my local shop in Grand Rapids, MI. He had a red one tagged for $699, and a white one tagged for $890. He gave me my pick for $599. I took the white one, becuase I preferred the natural headstock.

BUI ours will be MIJ .........jaguar guitars currently MIM

if fender dicontinues the jag it will be a collectbale someday.

I may trade mine and the amp i paid 500$ for to a guy for a 2000 stingay H
