Looks like they're sold out all over at the cheaper prices. The only place that I see that still has any still has them at $939.
The amp came in yesterday, bass comes in today. Amp is actually pretty cool for a practice tool, but the tones from my other basses are not coming through that great. For a free amp, I'll keep it for practicing to improve the chops.

Normally, this would be a post of great rejoicing, but....
The neck is snapped. Four of the frets fell off as a result...3 broken strings, broken knob.
The body itself seems fine, no telling how the electronics are though..you know, because of the BROKEN NECK.
Pics of the carnage to come once I have raged at MF and UPS.

Just tried to file a claim with UPS, but since the driver hasn't updated it to "Delivered", they say I can't claim it yet...
MF's site just says to contact UPS. If they determine that the damage is their fault, then they will cover.
Either way, it looks like I'm out exactly one white Jag...damn beautiful bass too.

Dont put up with there bull get your money back and keep the amp and say it never came I wouldnt do that to any person but a company that sends a snapped in half bass i would

I'm going to file a claim and see where it goes. At the least, I just want the neck replaced...the rest of the bass (except for the knob) seems fine. Finding a white Jag seems to be pretty hard these days, so if they give me a refund, I doubt I'll be able to snag another one (especially at that price).

BTW, I thought it would come with a gigbag to help with padding. Not like I need another one to go in the closet, but still... easy insurance.

Came in just fine fine fine. Strings are not so great. Action/setup is horrible out of the box. No gigbag, just an alen wrench for trussrod adjustments. That's it. I'll wait a few days to do any adjustments while the bass acclimates itself to the humidity and heat down here. It's 104 outside and it was pretty hot out of the box.
I just ordered one on MF for $539... used 
Still a great deal, but they wouldn't budge on price. Plus it doesn't even come with the amp, yet they still wouldn't budge.

On the site, for the used Jag, it's advertised as "includes free gift". You should have mentioned that; I'd make them give me something.
I tried to make that deal, but I got nothing... They were pretty unwilling to deal with me at all because it was a fender promotion that only applied to new basses.
I wonder why if it was a Fender promotion that everybody wasn't selling them at the discounted price?
maybe fender only promoted that site. Alot of times fender makes a contract with retailers if certain gear is not sold at a certain time before next years (2010) gear is coming out they reduce it and fender takes some of the hit of course making a profit still.
yeah, a used Hot Rod Red one from the Musicians Friend site. I sent an email last night to see what they could do for me, since it was advertised right on the search page as being used and coming with a free gift. We'll see what happens...
