Fender MIM vs. Squier CV Playability

The necks are hard maple or so Fender says. I don't think that just because a maple grows in Asia (if they use Asian maple, my neck is nicely quilted figure but I have no clue if it is) does that mean it's inferior? Does that mean it's a rubber band? :scowl: I doubt it and frankly I get tired of hearing that because these are made offshore, they are inferior. When did Mexico become a bastion of fine craftsmanship? :eyebrow: I think for the most part Fender is on top of quality in Asia and Mexico and the subcontracting manufacturers have a lot to lose if quality becomes a problem.
