View attachment 4037376 View attachment 4037392 Well here is the current version of my Mustang Black Edition with the latest mods done. I added the Hipshot Kickass bridge. No matter how I set the neck relief or string height I couldn’t get it’s intonation low enough. I had to drill the body and move the bridge back to solve that problem. The tuning sounds much more solid now up and down the neck than the original bridge did which is what I was hoping for. It sounds as solid as my P Bass now but before it didn’t. I also took the EMG’s out, put the original Fender P pickups in and
bought a Fender Ultra J pickup and put it in. No more hum. I wired it without the 3 way switch hooked up. It’s just in there for looks and to fill the hole. I liked the VVT better because I could blend the 2 pickups which you can’t do with the 3 way switch. I’ll have to pick another volume pot up and find a wiring diagram to do that. I’m happy with the stock tuners on this bass. They seem really solid and hold tune well. Almost where I want it!
