Fender Mustang Club

So, I guess I'm playing enough gigs if I've got money to burn on a matching pair of Chucks....

Must be.... :smug:

However, that's a good situation, isn't it ?

Nonetheless, I'd have to get the bass first, so that the sneaks could match with something.

But the remaining and eternal question is : "Are such shoes available with Velcro closures ?"

This is the most fun I've had with a short scale! It makes me appreciate my other basses' elbow contours, though...

Edit: 2019 LTD Seafoam Pearl - it was love at first sight!

I've never enjoyed being a busybody so much!! And two days ago, I tried jamming a mute under that Kickass bridge on it, and... muted Mustangs. Y'all gotta give it a whirl. The Brite Flats mellow down enough even when still fresh that I'm getting a bus to Motor City with this thing. It's about to have me wearing the Chucks to every gig with my main band! Also yeah, I did a LOT of comparing before pulling the trigger, and while it's not exact, it's passably close. Thinking of doing the same with my '60 sonic blue P haha

I love my shell pink babe but had I seen this color first, it might've been the one. That's a beauty!!

I'm with you! I love everything about my 2020 AP Mustang except the slab body. I wonder if the contours would give it neck dive?

I'm going to put DiMarzio Model PJ DP 126 pickups in my Mustang PJ and upgrade the electronics and bridge.

I'm trying to decide on how best to wire it though.

I've been reading through a lot of old posts here about PJ wiring setups and I'm leaning towards either VT VT with a 3-way selector or just doing VVT and replacing the switch with one of the controls.

Any advice based on your experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

I replaced the 3 way switch with a blend knob on one of my P/J Mustangs.
It's one of the older ones when they first came out and the switch was a problem right from the start, always cutting in and out.
No problems with the blend knob. I like it much better.

So Blend between the P and J, overall Volume and overall Tone?

That sounds like a good option too, thanks.

I had a Fender JP90 way back in the day but I really can't recall what I preferred on that bass. I believe that the electronics were set up in the same way as the Mustang PJ.

Place an impulse purchase for another MIM Mustang PJ yesterday evening. I am so stupid!

I love these things though. And this one will be surf green. I didn't have a surf green one.
Can completely identify, ~having a surf green Squier CV Mustang which I really like, but also gassing for a yellow MIM PJ model... Why? -Because it's so purty, thas why! {~Logic and good sense has little to do with it here methinks?}
Although I am curious as to how these two different versions of Stangs compare, so that could maybe pass for intellectual reasoning [or rationalization?] I suppose..
