Saturday was a NBD. I got a Squier CV 60s Mustang. Now I have the Fender PJ Mustang and this saucy gal. Absolutely amazing. Plus I love the diversity of having the 2 different models! Today was total knee replacement, so now…. 2 weeks of uninterrupted bass playing on the couch!

I bought one of the limited edition American Performer Honey Burst Mustangs.

Thankfully, another Guitar Center in town had one, so I was able to easily exchange it. They were very nice. Nice silver lining is the wood grain on the replacement is better looking than the defect.

There's an old axiom on Talkbass. "Pictures, or it didn't happen!" Or, in a lighter vein:

We like NBD pictures! Show us your new bass!

I posted recently that I was interested in replacing the pots on my 2007 CIJ Mustang. Wanted to report back that this made all the difference I hoped it would. With 500k CTS Mini Pots, the tone has opened up a bit, the tone knob is more usable throughout the full spectrum, and the volume tapers much more smoothly.

Despite the fact that every Mustang from that era looks identical, I am going to force you to look at a picture now because I think it’s pretty.

I do not know - I put them on right before I sold the bass and never played them. I am getting the bass back and will tell you after I have played them.

My friend says they are great. . . . . .
