The case is a Gator GW-Jag which i sended straight back. No fit for a not customized mustang pj. With lighter tuners and a heavy bridge - may be. And the case is really heavy. Light bass with heavy case? Nope.

My mustang is 3415 grams (about 3,4 kilogram) which should be 7 lbs 8.5 oz. For me the main reason to get one.

If you are asking me, it is a Gator G-PG ELECTRIC soft case with lots of protection, has loads of storage and weighs approx. 6.5 lbs. They retail in the US for $149.95 but are often discounted. As the saying goes, "I wouldn't leave home without it".

That is not the one...too big and too heavy. Trust me on this, I ordered one and was lucky enough to return it for an exchange before it was too late. You need the Gator G-PG ELECTRIC.

Ask Thomann for a price on the Gator PG-Electric. Also, if you are wanting to reduce the neck-dive on the Mustang PJ, look for HipShot UltraLite tuners and Hipshot High Mass Bridge. I posted my mods here a while back. Search this thread for HipShot...

Now some of my thoughts. This mustang bass is a project for me. I ordered DiMarzio Area PJs. I ordered them separately, because i like the bridge pickup in this vintage white. The split in black. Why the swap? The original pups are ok, but i must have a hum-free bridge pup. And to my taste the original single coil bridge don‘t really fits to the original split-coil. To me they together sound like two different pups, distinguishable! At the same time.

I gather the 5-bolts are for newer models? There was a Fender high mass bridge recommended for "vintage" instruments. It's been such a long time since I installed the Badass on my Jazz and well I am not exactly a mod monster, but I'd like to get a high mass bridge for my Mustang P/J and maybe the Squier VM Jaguar shorty as well.
