I had my luthier check out the switch when setting up my new 'Stang, and he replaced it as the original factory switch is a P.O.S.

Word! The switch on mine is temperamental in the middle setting. The ground wire was also never soldered to it, merely lopped through the eyelet on the chassis of the switch.

How do you find the two compare regarding tonal variations through the same (Fender) amp?

The JMJ's pups are growling little beasts. The P pup on the PJ is decent, but the J pup can only be described as anemic, and I'd NEVER play the PJ on the J or even the "both" setting...I only like the P pup on the PJ.

For $1000, the JMJ better sound better than the $575 PJ

I found this by accident, and I wonder if they actually have them in stock for $750: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I agree with the JMJ better sound better :thumbsup:.

I clicked on the link and added the Fender Mustang Bass to my cart. When I opened the cart, I got a message that my connection was not private :rollno:.

My E string is buzzing, so I ordered an original Fender String Retainer to Increase the angle between the tuning mechanism and the saddle. That don't fit on a Mustang - so do you have a solution? I will have to increase the string angle

Looks great...I have the same WD Music pearloid pickguard, and it's amazing the difference that it makes!

You really do have to upgrade the J pickup on the PJ, it is absolutely useless. So much so, that I only keep my PJ on the P pup and use it as a practice / backup instrument to my JMJ Mustang...
