The first bass in this series is a Reverse Jaguar with a medium scale maple neck and two big honking humbuckers.

It looks interesting to me, almost "Thunderbird-ish".

I mentioned the reverse Jaguar body idea ages ago so I'm waiting for the cheque from Fender

Would not have done this though, it's horrible.

Would have been so much better with a full scale P neck and some proper pups...this just looks silly, and looks like it'd sound that way too.

They will definitely make a loss on the bizarre pawn shop ideas. Mind you they'll make it back on the **** wages they pay those poor Mexicans.

I don't see it as a big deal, I just think that it's different in a fun way. They will likely only make it a couple of years. I think that it will be looked at down the road in the same way that the "Cowpokes" are today.

Not sure how I feel about the lefty neck. Pickups don't seem to match the styling. They seem too modern, maybe humbuckers with chrome covers like on a 70's thunderbird. Glad to see Fender trying something so different. Looking forward to playing one.
