Fender pre-CBS Club: pics mandatory!

I am looking for opinions as to who makes the most accurate reproduction gold anodized pickguard as far as color thickness and texture are concerned
.
I know that online pictures can be deceptive so I'm hoping to find somebody who has done a hands-on comparison
I know the fender has several available such as the avri the custom shop the vintera and so on as will as independent manufacturers like toneguard and various other manufacturers available through eBay or Reverb

The 57 or 59 RI nomenclature is simply the base model from which the Custom Shop modifies. For those who prefer their anodized guards gold, there is the Time Machine Series, which sticks pretty closely to the appointments of the year.

CS does a lot of fantasy 'reissues' of things that never existed (i.e. I have yet to see an authentic original matching headstock stack knob Jazz Bass but they make lots of 'reissues' like that) or they take one-off, etc features and extrapolate from there; there was at least one all rosewood neck '57 Strat so, thus, it's not impossible, even if not likely, that the same could have been done with a bass...

The FCS does take liberties with their reissues which I don't have a problem with. It helps distinguish a real from a counterfeit, which is what raised eyebrows about the reissues originally. Not that someone who has held enough vintage instruments could not tell the difference from color, appointments, relic job, etc. If not, the bodies are stamped with RELIC under the pickguards so there’s no confusion.

I’ve never understood Fender’s marketing but from my understanding, using the term ‘reissue’ is simply a reference to the base model used as a starting point from which they then customize. My impression is that most of the FCS instruments are not meant to be exact reproductions, though they do have a product line called The Time Machine Series, which is meant to have accurate appointments.

In regards to ’57 strat with an all-rosewood neck, the photo I posted is of a ’57 RI precision bass has an all rosewood neck.
