I just want to check before I violate any rules. Is it all right to list something for sale in this particular forum Or should that sort of post be confined to the classified section thank you?
Probably ok to mention the item you have for sale vs the for sale post itself. That way anyone can use your TB name to search the FS threads if interested.I just want to check before I violate any rules. Is it all right to list something for sale in this particular forum Or should that sort of post be confined to the classified section thank you?
But post the sale in the classified. You are a supporting member, its fine to mention here yours is for sale
Of course
Refinished1959 precision bass body. 7 59 or later
See my ad under bass parts for full description
Are there any identifying dates on the body? If not, it would be hard to confirm the age.

Since your user name implies you’re a dealer, I’m curious about this:
What’s more valuable (assuming otherwise the instrument is all original), an obviously 70s or 80s bad refin job (or strip), or a modern, well done refin with very good relicing?
I’ve got a ‘72 with not awful home respray that was done in the 70s, but considering modern nitro refin with best available relicing.
I wouldn't claim to know what the market would say to that, but would guess that most pinheads would prefer a slick modern nitro relic refin. I've generally never liked the idea of replacing a 40 or 50 finish with a new one. many might prefer the look of the bass on the left, here. I like the look of the hippie refin on the right.
