This is a joke right? A really early April Fools? It is fake, that head stock sticker looks like it will fall off if it gets too humid out.

Absolutely NOT a Fender bass. Look to the East for the answer.25656543[/URL], member: 284861"]At a glance it looks like it might be a dirty mid-seventies Fender p bass with the knobs, tug bar, bridge, tuners neck plate and pick guard swapped out.
When I look again, I think only the poor neck MIGHT be authentic Fender. Strange truss rod cover at the head though. Maybe some shoddy truss rod mods were made and that's why the fingerboard is seperating? The neck looks oddly narrow though, especially for a p bass.
Only one way to find out. Real Fenders burn when you pour gasoline on them and toss a lit match at it. So.. if it catches fire it’s probably a Fender. If you want to know, that’s the way.
No. No on all of this.At a glance it looks like it might be a dirty mid-seventies Fender p bass with the knobs, tug bar, bridge, tuners neck plate and pick guard swapped out.

Yep. That's pretty much what I figured by the end of my assessment there.Absolutely NOT a Fender bass. Look to the East for the answer.

It’s firewood. Japanese 70’s era copy in awful shape. It’s too far gone. I’d get rid of it.
Hi All,
Hoping to pick your brains on this, my Bass knowledge isn't so great.
I have an old Fender Precision Bass which was given to me some years ago in pretty bad shape. It had since been kept in the loft (not me who put it there) and have recently found it and took it out. Unfortunately as you can see in the photos, it's in very poor shape.
Wondering if this could potentially be a fake Fender Precision, are there any specific tell-tale signs or any reliable way I could confirm if it was genuine or not.
If genuine, do you think it would be worth fixing it up?
Thanks!
