Thank you!Nice. How deep did you rout for those pickups? Pretty shallow?
Now, photoshop a precision ashtray over the bridge and a Tele headstock in place of the P bass headstock and you've got a winner!
Unfortunately it doesn't fit in a standard pickguard, you'll need a custom made one.I'm amazed by the looks of these. Two questions:
- does the tbird pickup fit in a standard P-pickguard with a cut/sanded hole or do you need to ask for a tottaly new and custom pickguard?
- what's the sound of this pickup in the P position? I'm not very familiar with the TBird sound, but I know how a P-Bass should sound.
Thank you a lot!
Thanks!That's pretty killer.
Damn you for making such an awesome looking P.
I'd like to see you do another like that with your headstock, hex bridge/pickup ring and lollipop tuners. Really make it yours. A tele style one would be pretty nice too.
*edit*
it also needs a bullet at the headstock to complete the look.
My Dynamite P has an overwound Thunderbucker; it sounds fat and raunchy.

Sweet! Built one just like it. We have an oddly similar taste in basses @Rip TopazYup. Not black, though.
