Fender Precision-Bird?

I'm sure I've put this up somewhere before.. My Zeus Guitars ZPB, mahogany body, ultra thin nitro finish, nickel hardware, reverse tuners. It's as vintage as it can be.

Zeus is a Japanese company doing all manner of gibson/Fender mashups but in a 1950/60s period correct way.

Even more proof that there is nothing new under the sun...I LOVE it!

It looks like they sell for about $2,000 US?

Yep, but honestly these are made as if straight from Fender or gibson in the 50/60s.. Way beyond all the custom shop reissue stuff, it's really really beautiful instrument
Yes, they look spectacular...I was afraid they might also be inexpensive.

The Chimera series basses I've built were targeted to hit a sub $1K pricepoint, so I was concerned about how the Zeus models might compete.

Bump for old thread. Really GAS'n for a mike watt style P-bird. Are more people doing them other then lull and Bluesman Vintage?
I did one a while back with a Squier Classic Vibe and some China-Bird pickups. Loved the sound, but I play fingerstyle and the pickup screws were in the way.

Figured out recently that you can pry the pickup out of the cover and with some finagling, fit it inside a Jazzmaster cover. Might have to un-loan that Squier Cabronita from my guitar player soon...

I built this one for myself, although it uses a Fralin Big Single under a P90 cover with no holes and one of my 32" scale conversion necks:
