I’m seeing earth tones, which absolutely go together.
In fact I’m not sure what would go together better than tort on that.

If you want a worn look bass, get one that is legit wear, the fake aging just is becoming trite.

I gotta tell ya. That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. It's just about 6 weeks to soon. If I were you, unless the trade you were looking for happens, I would bide my time until refund checks start flowing. It's a good looking bass with the right pieces. I think it will move.

Parts basses are a hit and miss proposition. Typically, they are very hard to sell and not worth nearly what they were worth to the person that "created" them.
In this case, you have an American Neck, a Hwy1 body that's been routed, Bart pickups (not in fashion with modern P bass owners) and other assorted parts including a anniversary neck plate. IMHO, relicing this combination will make it harder to sell, not easier. My suggestion would be to part this thing out. You'll probably get your money out of it.

To the people that keep telling him to play it to get a road worn look - HE'S TRYING TO SELL IT. HE DOESN'T WANT IT. So he should play a bass he wants to get rid of for 40 years to get a road worn look and then sell it?

To the OP - unless you know how to relic it, leave it alone. The reason so many people whine and cry about relic basses is because so many people do terrible jobs.

Do you have it listed? What do you want for it? It's a 2009? The neckplate states 2011. I have a 2011 with the same neckplate. I would be interested in buying it. PM me.

That bass looks better than fine as is. Do not mess with the finish. You will be sorry, and spend the rest of your days mooning over the photos you just posted on TB. How does it sound and play?

I think road worn looks better on dark colored basses (red, burst, etc). The effect can be more subtle, and look more real. You would really have to beat the crap out of this one to get it to show. Sell as is or keep. JMHO
