thanks for the help. . .I say we go easy on the newbie, so all ill say is, people have differing opinions, personally i prefer the P basses but one thing you will definately learn from TB is that Fender is not the be all and end all of bass manufacture. they are by no means the highest quality basses on the market but they are still high quality.
Hope this helps a little![]()
I know Im new to this and all, but what exaclty is an OP?

The OP is you, my friend.![]()
thanks for the help. . .
Awesome!
Wouldn't you be? As to the polar bear, that's a really unfair fight. Both have growl, but only one has sharp claws and teeth.

thanks for the help. . .

Wow, what a flaming initiation my friend, know you know (partially) how it´s done, so don´t go asking about "taboo" topics without doing a search, it´s faster, more discreet, and it lowers the risk of being flamed. That ( )-Bass vs ( )-Bass topic is quite sensible, wood choice affecting the tone of basses is another one you should avoid,to like or not to like Jaco is something of lower risk, but above all things, do not even think of asking about how Justin Chancellor gets his tone...that one can get you BANNED!
Disclaimer: the banning thing is totally tongue in cheek
Carry on fellow flamers...
Can someone please tell me the difference in tone between a Alder body and an Ash body when used in a fight between a P and J bass?
TIA
