They're getting too close to used American Standard prices.

Fender follows TB, and they have seen the threads on VM's rivaling the quality of Am Standards, so it was inevitable. Considering they probably sell 15 VM's to every one Am Standard, it was the more profitable price hike.
Never does.
Gosh it would be a catastrophe if Sire, follows Squier's lead TB fanboi's would have a recreation of the Boston Tea party, either that or rediscover how awesome SX'S are.Well, seeing as how Squiers are the ne plus ultra of basses (according to lots of TB-ers, anyway), I'd say it's about bloody time....![]()
Dam that is sharp!!!Don't worry, Ibanez to the rescue.

Oh, wait, you guys will complain that the necks too chunky and has too many strings. You'll ruin it for me!
Alder bodied SX P and J basses can be had for $120 or so, I imagine with $280 left over you could change out every part with high quality aftermarket parts.
I was reading that a little inflation is good for the economy. Not sure I understand that since my wages are locked for eternity by my corporate overlord. Thank goodness for those $50 weekend gigs to help pay my taxes!
Nope. We seriously are frozen at our current pay rate. Increases in insurance etc come out of the same pool of income that I've earned since 2008. Company sold to a big multinational a few years ago that said we get what we get. If the company meets profit goals we get a small bonus. The goals are set at HQ and are pretty unrealistic, so no bonuses in years. New paradigm. Still better than the furloughs though.i suspect your payroll taxes, etc have gone up but all that crap is hidden in the funny tax accounting stuff that goes on before you get paid. Your real income is actually higher but its all sucked into more taxation. its an ugly system.
