If you really want to increase the "presence" of the amp (not just volume, although you'll get more volume too) add the 210 extension cab. All you'll ever need, as witnessed above in the Frampton show photos.

I am not sure how the 210 with a 500c compares to say a 500 head and a 410 cab. I like to think there is better dispersion due to the vertical orientation, but that might just be hooey.

I often have my extension cab unplugged in smaller venues just to tame it somewhat. The 500c + 210 cab is wicked loud, even at the lowest settings on the amp. Use the power wisely.

Oh for what its worth, those that are following my issue with the handle, The Fender replacement handle they sent does fit, but it doesn't match. The replacement has a ribbed handle where the original was that semi smooth molded job with the finger indents. Not sure if Fender is going to make a replacement handle that matches stock available, but if they do, I am all over it.

I think with x2 210's vs a 410 you get the full 500 watts and yes vertically stacked 10's do give you a wider dispersion and brings it up closer to your ear. I have a 500 head and separate 210 and don't need another cab volume wise, but have strongly considered it for these facts alone, plus it would look like a pretty cool small stack:)

The one I posted was artsy-fartsy.
Yours is great and is (in the immortal words of Heart) "coming straight on for you..."
:)
Let's all go play our basses!
Yep...has a great story. Its a 1977 that my older brother bought in the mid 80's, he played it for years on the road and I grew up watching him play it. He did some mods that were typical in the 80's, brass nut, barts and roller bridge. The original Oly white has now turned canary yellow from years of bar smoke. Its needed some TLC, the biggest being a fret job which I had done last year. Next up, I would like to put 70's voiced pickups (im thinking nords or Fender 74) back on it and replace the brass nut with a standard one to get it closer to its original sound.

There is only thing better than a great, old bass. That is a great, old bass that holds lots of meaning because it was owned by a close relative.
Good on ya!

As much as I love The Fender brand/company and only play Fender & Squier bass and guitars, I parted ways with my v3 Rumble 100 today. I still have my Fender bassman 400 head 410 & 115 cabs but I'm making the conversion to full on Ampeg for bass amps.
If you can afford it....it may be good to keep the bassman. You never know when you'll need a backup and/or want a different tone. I still have my GK MB212-ii combo, it has a completely different tonal footprint than my Rumble and its good to have a backup and when you want a different tone.

Agreed. I still keep a TC Electronic BG250-210 as a backup, different vibe but a great combo amp similar in size/weight to the 500C. Had it before the Rumble, just couldn't bring myself to part with it because it's such a good amp. But the 500C is my go to.

Hey Rumblers...I have received one of the two 112 v3 cabinets I ordered but I have a question/request...kinda pondering the Fender Bassman 500 or 800 head that is listed at 22.7" or 22.37" wide and these cabs are 19" wide so there will be "some" overhang...does anyone have either the Bassman 500 or 800 hybrid head that they could snap a pic of on top of any of the Rumble 19" wide units (which would include the Rumble 200 combo/Rumble 500 combo/Rumble 112 v3/Rumble 210 cab)??? I will probably go with a lightweight Rumble 200 or 500 head in the future but I wanted to see how awkward (if at all) the Fender Bassman Head (500/800 hybrid 17 pounder) would look on top of my 112's.

Here is my new bass rig. I got a Rumble 500 combo and a Rumble 115 extension cab. It got here Thursday. I have a question about the switch positions on the 115 but I haven't searched the thread yet. Not sure what full is. I get the other switch positions.

I'm liking the 15 inch cab. I feel it more than the 2x10 I think. Haven't been able to play with it much mostly low volume. Rehearsal tomorrow and gig Tuesday. I plan to play it at my gig with old rig standing by.

I'll probably play with combo on its side instead of how this pic was taken.

Are they still doing numbers for Rumble Club?

Just an idle thought...put both 112s, when the second arrives, on stands, place then tight next to each other and set the cab on top of them both.

I think the switch you are mentioning gives a little control on the tweeter, full on, full off and partially attenuated. (The Pro Bass Neos have pots in the rear that allow a graduated adjustment.) I don't think the online manual is not much help. Find the settings that you like. It seems on TB most guys just leave them off. You also might find you use it differently based on your instrument and what your playing.
I think GravediggerDave is still doing numbers.

I am a big fan myself of the Rumble 115 cabs, they for sure make you feel the bass. You will love your new rig, especially when you are able to up the volume a bit.

Congrats on a great new rig. I also think that is the tweeter switch.

Typically/ymmv...folks who like a ton of sparkle, high end and snap leave it full on...folks looking for older/vintage tones (flats players often) keep it off and some fall in the middle.

To my ears, it is a choice I make in the band setting as it impacted by the mix. That being said...I usually end up with it off.
