Fender Rumble Club

I have one as well that I recently installed GZRs in. It's my favorite bass, and it pairs perfectly with my Rumble 500.

I had one before but I didn't like the QP pickup or the 7.25" radius but the Geezer is the truth. The neck that is on it was custom made in LA. Its quartersawn maple with a nice flame, 1.6" nut, 10" radius, BEM dots, rosewood board, stainless steel mandolin frets and hipshot ultralites. My friend had it made to replicate his Lakland 494 neck and it really just makes the bass play beautifully. Additionally this one is strung up with Ken Smith Slick Rounds. All in all with the Rumble amp, it sorta sounds like a 1960's recording studio in here.

Oh crap, I missed the Fender Friday!!! Here's the Aerodyne I mentioned a few pages back, in its new home:

The fretboard was very dry, so I quickly ordered some lemon oil and applied two layers earlier today. Looks much better and smells nice too!

This thing is as fast as a ferrari, especially for slap. Surely it's because of the color :D
MEDIUM SCALE?

I started with a Rumble25 this past March. I upgraded to the Rumble100 this summer in preparation for a gig. The DI output to a PA works great using the 1x12" cab on stage as the stage monitor for the bass. Or, in quieter venues, the 100 is more than enough.
I love the Vintage tone shaping control, the Series III Rumble has three shape controls. Bright, Contour and Vintage. I usually have both Bright and Vintage pressed with the bigh meds rolled off just a bit. Most 12" cabs don't do justice to the low B string on a 5-string but the Rumble sure does!

Also the O. I realize lots of people hate on the Fender Overdrive circuit but I love it! It complements the Jim Dunlop flat strings I use, and gives a big, fat fuzzy tone without losing the crispness.
I'd recommend buying the foot switch that comes for it, so you can engage the OD circuit at will.

Unlike what I read online, I've found I can set the Overdrive to fuzz nicely without getting louder than the volume used by the clean channel, it doesn't break up or lose fuzz for me at a lower volume. I just had to play with it a little.

I'd be grateful for a number ...

I agree with this, after discarding all preconceptions and seriously playing with it. I concurulate sir!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the infos and comments, some precious stuff over here.
I played my first gig yesterday night with my Rumble 500 and a Höfner Violin Bass.
It all went pretty good.

I've been having trouble dialing the volume on my 500c recently. Up until 9 o'clock it's very quiet and past 9 o'clock it gets too loud almost instantly. The gain knob is completely turned down. I think I should try plugging into the fix loop return instead of the regular input
