I'd like to thank Linnin for all his expert invaluable knowledge he imparts, regarding not only Fender Rumble rigs, but Fender products in general. I'm sure a lot of guys and gals here on TB in the Rumble forum alone, have learned something from his expertise that we, as seasoned players and owners of Fender gear, may not have known before. I for one even at my age (66) can learn something new every day..loll Thanks Linnin for all your great input to this forum.
I agree....growing up, a USA made Fender was the gold standard that we all drooled over as teenagers. My older brother had the most bada$$ 1977 Jazz and I grew up watching him play it on a ton of gigs and around the house(back when pointy headstocks were popular). Years later I bought it from him when he moved and recently got it back in playing condition. At 12lbs it's a back and shoulder killer, but it's one of those Fenders that "has it" and it plays and sounds great, better than nearly every other Jazz I've tried. This is probably why Im still a Fender fan and love a solid traditional Fender tone...

that looks like a nice bourbon as well
Oh, it is! Larceny is an excellent wheated recipe bourbon based on the original Sitzel-Weller recipe of 1849. The wheat content of the mashbill has been bumped up from 10% to 12-14% as the exact amount is secret. Roughly 75% corn and the rest is malted barley.

Larceny itself is a scrumptious bourbon with a luscious candy nose of vanilla and maple sugar top notes along with underlying oak char. The color is beautiful lush amber with a deeply burnished copper cast. The nose conveys to the palate and is pleasantly satisfying. The finish is long and smooth with little warmth that belies it's potent 92 proof. It is delicious! Enjoy some when you get a chance.

Well, there will be no new cabinet day posts. They sent my cabinets to Cincinnati then updated delivery date from Wednesday until Friday. Then they sent them to Indianapolis and updated the delivery date of next Tuesday.

They used FedEx SmartPost which I have now been informed to be one of the worst. Called the outfit that I ordered from and told them to do a reroute and refund my money. Tried to talk me out of it and I told him the magic word .. chargeback. They got on it.:meh:

I'm a patient guy but the origin of shipment is only 5 hours and 45 minute drive from me and it takes 8 days to get here, I have to draw the line.

Amazing how many businesses that have 'smart' in their title. ...and are THE WORST.

We've got a courier co here called '.....send' & they've 'lost' a Berg NV cab on me b4. Turned up in a totally different state, a month later, under a stair well. Or so they said. :spit::rage::rollno:

8 days to Louisville?! Damn Man! You could drive to Sweetwater and back in a day.
Same with Memphis metro area. Plus I could stop in Nashville and check some stuff out.

See they state that the product qualifies for two day shipping and then when they find out I'm having it dropped off at my post office at a PO Box address, they say it will be sent a different way and it will be 2 to 4 days. Or it might have been 2 to 5, I'd have to look. Anyhow I was totally cool with Friday.

At any rate I'm not ordering anything that ships via FedEx in the future. They always take the longest and the box is always damaged. It was the first time I saw SmartPost and thought it might be better but nope. Worse.

Those SOBs broke a tv I shipped a month ago and are still weaseling out of it, fax this, fax that, OH the shipper has to file a claim while the recipients claim was readily accepted, OOPS our bad, the recipient must revoke their claim, UH wait, the shipper must revoke his claim so the recipients claim can go through, but wait, we only deal with the shipper and then the recipient must revoke their claim so we can process this. PROCESS THIS buddy.:rage: I propose changing the name of the company to FedUp.

Yeah, as a seller you pretty much have to go to one of the locations and get a straight answer on how the insurance claim process works.

When you ship something with insurance via FedEx, do they give you some sort of paperwork outlining their policy ?

When I sold antique glassware on eBay that I inherited, I used USPS Priority exclusively. That was years ago but I can only recall a couple of instances where the item got broke. Both times they reimburse the buyer in person at their local post office station. But again that was long ago.. they might have changed.

Seems like the recipient would be the one that would file the claim and would have to carry the damaged item into one of the local locations.

I'm just speculating though.

I didn't know whether to start a new thread with this but I have to tell you. I always wanted a nice (cheap) electric guitar to play with but I don't have the disposable income to pick up a strat or tele though I regret selling my tele years ago. But I was talking to a fellow and he mentioned the Mustang amps so I got a Squier Strat very cheap and then bought a Mustang V2 20W for 120 bucks. (Which was the beginning of my GASflow) WOW, cool toy.

So I am seeing threads where we are wondering which Rumble would make a good practice amp and it dawned on me, the Mustang would be a great bass practice amp AND IT IS. I can play with effects, delay, reverb etc and I can plug it into the PC and get all kinds of sounds, I can program in delays, chorus etc. What a great toy. I love it. FMIC rocks is all I can say.

It doesn't have the RUMBLE tone or anything but a lot of those 'pedals' seem to suck the bass out of whatever you are doing anyway. Try it. It's a blast.
Your friend,
J-Bassomatic

And I thought Australia Post was bad..their tracking service is deplorable to say the least, but having said all that they havent lost any deliveries to my address..YET, although sometimes AustPost has taken twice as long as they should have to deliver. For example I live in South Australia and they sent my Fender Rumble Casters via Queensland from Melbourne, Victoria when my adjoining State is actually Victoria and only 400 miles away. I guess it took a tour of the Eastern States of Aust. before I got it.. a round trip of at least 1000 miles loll The Priority Express Package was sent to at least 3 different States away from where I live. I cant understand these types of mistakes from Postal companies, couriers and carriers when the address on the package, once received, is plain as day and quite correct. Anyway I guess that's my Rumble Mumble Bumble Grumble about Postal Companies Worldwide for today loll
