Don't resist! Give in to the attraction. Fender has very quietly discontinued all Dimensions. The only new ones left are which ever ones remain in the retail pipeline. At $400 this is a steal.

The good news is that they are sooooo damn cheap, that you could easily strip and custom refinish at any good automotive body shop.
Serious one of a kind art work could ensue
and great cause for hoopla would surely arise!
Sadly, no leftys or droolFender has very quietly discontinued all Dimensions.
I remember that one, and just like you say: here today and gone tomorrow. You can either call or email Fender's Customer Relations for more information. I'm not sure they'll tell you the specific number produced, but Fender tends to do special runs of guitars & basses in batches of 5,000. I'm guessing your Squier Jag was made by Cort in Indonesia.Doesn't Fender "quietly discontinue" most of their stuff?
BTW, @Linnin, I know you are the encyclopedia of all things Fender, and this isn't a Fender related question but a Squier related question, however...
Do you, or anyone else, know where there is any info regarding the passive VM Jaguar that was released and then "quietly discontinued" not long after?
The bass doesn't appear in the Squier pdf (that lists all the Squier models, supposedly) nor is there rarely a mention of this bass anywhere. The bass is awesome, IMO, but it seems that it just disappeared of the face of the earth. There were a bunch of reviews about it when it was first released, but I don't think it lasted more than a year (maybe even less). I would interested in finding out if many were made, etc. Just out of curiosity.
This is the bass that I mean (and it was only available in this colour):

Not that I have found. The signal goes directly into the power amp at wide open volume.I found the aux input to be obnoxiously loud by the way. I set my laptop volume to 6% and it was already louder than I needed. Unfortunately because of such low volume there was a lot of noise on the way. Any tips for aiding this, fellow rumblers?
Nice Ash!I bought a new bass to go along with my Rumble 200, so here's my Fender Friday submission:

I still can't figure out the best size and resolution to use for this site.

There you go. You just answered your own question @Big Hoss. Grab your best known to be quiet cable and go bass>cable>combo. Hiss or no hiss? If no hiss it's not the amp. If no hiss then jumper the FE loop (no FX just the jumper cable). Hiss or no hiss? Continue on until you hit hiss and there's your culprit. It is possible that it's in the signal chain because they would go away when I disconnected the send and return cables for the pedalboard.
That's always your first suspect because they are cheap and easy to change out. Just remember to recycle the bad ones.I had issues where I thought it was the amp but turned out to be cables.
We had to run across Houston for now but I tested before we left the house and I'm starting to think it's the instrument cable it's one I don't usually use and I'm not entirely certain where my Fender cable went but I'll try it when I get home. There you go. They really are superb. Best $99 bass amp ever invented.Just bought my second Rumble. My old MarkBass mini cmd121p sounds like it's about to blow up, so I needed a new little practice amp for home. I ended up getting a 25watt Rumble. Seems really loud, and sounds great considering its size.
I was planning on either getting a Orange Crush 50, some kind of Hartke, or an Ampeg, since I already have a Rumble, and wanted to try something different. I figured I'd at least try the 25, because it's cheap, tiny, and I do love my 500.They really are superb. Best $99 bass amp ever invented.
