Fender Rumble Club

Don't resist! Give in to the attraction. Fender has very quietly discontinued all Dimensions. The only new ones left are which ever ones remain in the retail pipeline. At $400 this is a steal.

Well, it's true that I don't have one, wonder what colors they..HEY WAIT A MINUTE!!
 :roflmao:  They have Black on Black, and then they have Black.:smug: The good news is that they are sooooo damn cheap, that you could easily strip and custom refinish at any good automotive body shop. :woot: Serious one of a kind art work could ensue :hyper: and great cause for hoopla would surely arise! :hyper: Sadly, no leftys or drool

Doesn't Fender "quietly discontinue" most of their stuff? ;)

BTW, @Linnin, I know you are the encyclopedia of all things Fender, and this isn't a Fender related question but a Squier related question, however...

Do you, or anyone else, know where there is any info regarding the passive VM Jaguar that was released and then "quietly discontinued" not long after?

The bass doesn't appear in the Squier pdf (that lists all the Squier models, supposedly) nor is there rarely a mention of this bass anywhere. The bass is awesome, IMO, but it seems that it just disappeared of the face of the earth. There were a bunch of reviews about it when it was first released, but I don't think it lasted more than a year (maybe even less). I would interested in finding out if many were made, etc. Just out of curiosity.

This is the bass that I mean (and it was only available in this colour):

I remember that one, and just like you say: here today and gone tomorrow. You can either call or email Fender's Customer Relations for more information. I'm not sure they'll tell you the specific number produced, but Fender tends to do special runs of guitars & basses in batches of 5,000. I'm guessing your Squier Jag was made by Cort in Indonesia.

I still have a minute to post before Fender Friday transforms into Fender Saturday

My submission for this week is Rumble 500c + a japanese Fender Aerodyne, with a side of import beer and a cat or two. Enjoy!

EDIT: I forgot to mention the LTD. I don't like it anymore. I wonder if I should swap its SD Quarter Pounder pickups with the Aerodyne. It has gotoh pickups, but I like how they sound - very bright, almost like a fender strat! But maybe it's in the wood and not the pups

I found the aux input to be obnoxiously loud by the way. I set my laptop volume to 6% and it was already louder than I needed. Unfortunately because of such low volume there was a lot of noise on the way. Any tips for aiding this, fellow rumblers?

I ran into with mine last night and I'm not sure if it's an issue I need to bring up to fender or if it's a power issue. It's been since Harvey since I powered my amp up end with or without the instrument plugged in I would get a hissing from the amp best way I can describe it is think back to old vinyl recordings type of hiss which is not what I expect out of this amplifier as it has been dead clean the entire time I've owned it. It is possible that it's in the signal chain because they would go away when I disconnected the send and return cables for the pedalboard. Just as a reminder on the pedal board is a zoom B3 a Moog expression pedal a tuner pedal and the fender footswitch for the overdrive which I did not disconnect.

There you go. You just answered your own question @Big Hoss. Grab your best known to be quiet cable and go bass>cable>combo. Hiss or no hiss? If no hiss it's not the amp. If no hiss then jumper the FE loop (no FX just the jumper cable). Hiss or no hiss? Continue on until you hit hiss and there's your culprit.

We had to run across Houston for now but I tested before we left the house and I'm starting to think it's the instrument cable it's one I don't usually use and I'm not entirely certain where my Fender cable went but I'll try it when I get home.

They really are superb. Best $99 bass amp ever invented.
I was planning on either getting a Orange Crush 50, some kind of Hartke, or an Ampeg, since I already have a Rumble, and wanted to try something different. I figured I'd at least try the 25, because it's cheap, tiny, and I do love my 500.
After playing a mediocre Jazz Bass, and P Bass through it, I realized there was absolutely no reason to mess around with anything else. For $99 I got exactly the amp I need.
It's also just big enough for my cat to sit on comfortably.
One concern, does it play well with pedals? I like to mess around with my pedal board in the living room when writing.
