Pulled the trigger this morning. 500c on the way, already got a tracking number!
I just made a wooden frame and stapled some fabric that I liked from the local fabric store on it. It's super thin and doesn't effect anything... I have about 4-5 "grill cloths" that I switch out according to moods. Someday I'll take a pic of them.

As some already know, I acquired a Bassman 500 and a Bassman neo 115 yesterday. Now I'm thinking, that until I get around to getting a second 15 for it, I might put my Rumble 2x10 sideways on top of the 1x15 and the head on top of that. Any thoughts on this configuration are welcome.
Just Do It! I forget who it was in the Fender Rumble Club that put a Rumble 500 combo on top of a Bassman 115 Neo with good results.
I intend to give it a try. I was just looking for ideas or warnings. I will gig with it a week from tomorrow.
Think I'll read up on the specs on both to see if it might be a good balance. I do know that a rig I had before I got my Rumble 500 was an Ampeg B1 pushing an SWR 2x10 sitting on top of a Hartke 1x15 and it sounded great.

Probably will sound almost as good as a Neo 115 on top of a Neo 410. Sometimes I do it with 500 head, sometimes with my SB. With the 500 head I run an ART Tube pre amp to warm it up a little, but I think you've got that covered with the tubes in your Bassman.
That was I Yep...it worked out pretty well. I didn't notice any phasing issues etc . I didn't get to check it that much, was a busy gig. . But afaik, it worked well
I just bought a used Rumble 200 combo at a local pawn shop. It's in great shape, clean, doesn't appear abused. Got it home and all works fine except the OD. When I push the activation button, no red indicator light, no change in output sound, twirling the Drive or Level knobs has no effect. However, I still get normal output to the speaker (OD does not mute the amp.) Then I tried activating OD via the footswitch jack (I used a short patch cable and shorted outer ring to tip) and no joy.
I got this amp cheap enough not to fret about the OD, and I probably won't need OD anyway, but if anyone has any clues for how I might get it working, fire away. I can return it to the store for full refund within 30 days, so I have that in my back pocket, but I figure I'll keep it, one sold on Ebay recently "dead, for parts" (no output at all) for more than I paid.
(I already posted this over on Fender forums, and only got one guy to respond, and he finished up admitting he knew nothing worthwhile about my amp, and to forget everything he had said so far. There seems to be very little traffic on that forum.)

I'll go with Linnin on this one, and I will add that it will LOOK very cool too!
If you want the OD repaired, you'll have to send it to a Fender authorized service center. I have no idea how much that might cost.
I did this a little over a year ago, but really only used it at an outdoor gig once this past year. It was indeed glorious!

But every other time either one alone has been way plenty. And, while I do love the Bassman bells & whistles, the Rumble is so much easier to transport. But I live in hopes of unleashing the BassRumbleMan again one day!!
I have one I bought a couple of years ago. I really like it. It it perfect for what you want. Take advantage of the sale.
Buy it! Many of us have or have had the Rumble 25 and will attest that it is the best $99 bass amp available. The Rumble 40 is a bit lighter and roughly the same size. It has the same front end as it's more powerful brethren, but costs twice as much at $199. Either one is a fine choice.
