Maybe, like various other cabs, it's switchable between 4 and 8 ohms. Enabling full power into a single 4 ohm load??????? I dunno

I take the 4 or 8 ohm switch to only affect the external cabinet, allowing for it (them) to total 4 or 8 ohms, without changing the internal speaker impedance. I also assume the internal load to be 8 ohms outputing "only" 500 watts without any extension(s), like the Bassman 800 into a single 8 ohm cab. Of course, I could be wrong about all that.

It's the operation of the 4 ohm switch, requiring a 500 watt rated cab, that I'm really guessing at! Like @pudgychef says, it seems to be stable at 2,67 ohms to allow a 4 ohm external load along with a 8 ohm internal load. How it do dat?

And, unless I'm misreading the photo of the back of the STAGE 800, IT HAS BOTH A PRE- AND A POST- DI IN MONO MODE!!! That'll make a few people happy that think having a Pre-EQ DI is important, and others will be happy that the Post-EQ DI is still available. And, in Stereo mode, both DIs (yes, there's 2 of them) are used as Right and Left.

But, OMG, are the Stereo DIs Pre- or Post-??? (Here we go again?)

And, of course, the Stage 800 has the same 1/4" stereo FX Send & Return jacks as the Studio 40.

Finally getting some quality time with the 500c/112 setup. Played a club gig last week and first of all got tons of compliments on the look of the "stack". I struck the first note at sound check & my lead guitarist proclaimed in his loudest, lowest voice "BASS!!!". Another trusted musician in the audience said I moved a lot of air and mentioned the "clarity" of the rig. Adding the 112 gave my sound a certain "presence", that I really enjoy. It gives me the confidence to just relax and play, surrounded by killer tone. It didn't feel like the set up was having to push the volume to be where it needed to be for a 2 guitar rock band. Later at home, I was A/B ing the set up with and without the 12 cab and I was struggling to find the right words to describe the difference. It just makes it sound better. I've fallen in love with my Rumble again.

Now that we longtime Rumble owners that really wanted them have all bought third party amp covers Fender has decided to make some, too!

Fender Rumble 200/500/STAGE Amplifier Cover

Well, if I do end up getting the Stage 800, like I'm feeling it now, I'd be glad to get an official Fender cover for it, too. But, for now, my MDB cover on my 500c is doing just fine, thank you very much.

For $20 that is pretty darn nice. And yes, the MDB cover on my 200c is also doing just fine.

how would the 4 ohm switch enable a 4 ohm external cabinet to take 500 watts and leave just 300 watts to the (assumed) 8 ohm internal speaker load?

With tube amps they change where the transformer is tapped off of for different impedances.
Maybe that switch is a double-pole double-throw & is also changing the output to the internal speaker.

Hi Guys,
I'm going to be purchasing a GK MB500 to use with my two Rumble 210 v3 cabs.

I'm not looking for the sound of the rumble head so don't try to persuade me.

But has anyone used a GK MB500 (or any GK) with the 210 cabs. I'm hoping they'll be matched well but I'm gonna try to find a place to test drive the two first.

I would doubt that's a stage 800.
The 800 has dual 10"
That may be the stage 40 but looks too short to be the 800

Definitely looks like the Studio 40.
It has the effects and all but looks to short to be the 800.

Hi Guys,
I'm going to be purchasing a GK MB500 to use with my two Rumble 210 v3 cabs.

I'm not looking for the sound of the rumble head so don't try to persuade me.

But has anyone used a GK MB500 (or any GK) with the 210 cabs. I'm hoping they'll be matched well but I'm gonna try to find a place to test drive the two first.

I have a 1001RB-II I use with mine (as well as a Rumble 500). I haven't used them together on a gig yet as the GK was a recent acquisition, but I have gigged the pair of 2x10 cabs for a while and I have done a few gigs with the GK head with other cabs I have used the Rumble head with. They work well together, I have found during my testing at home, and the 1001RB is stupidly loud and punchy. I'm a "turn the tweeters off" flatwound string user, so take that into account; I even leave the "woofer high cut" on the GK engaged despite not biamping it as it low passes the amp at 5kHz.

Is this the Rumble Stage 800?

Not quite. It looks like a Mustang GT 100 that has been modified for bass. It is too wide to be either the Rumble Stage 800 or the Rumble Studio 40. So it's a developmental prototype.

The dark knobs & buttons in the video look more like the Fender Mustang GT. The Stage & Studio have white knobs, but are based on GT technology.
