But if you or your son sells that 70s bass today it would be better to have the covers. In 25 years my kids can sell my stuff. Perhaps my daughter will keep my favorite guitar.

He will sell everything as quickly as possible. I irreversibly modified my '76 in '85, so covers won't mean a tinker's damn in hell.

I also played in a Polka band (never would have even considered it, but was asked to join and loved every minute of it and it was the best paying band I've been in). In case you're wondering, that's a fEARful headcase sitting on top of a fEARful 12sub on the right.

Nice to see polka music get a mention in the Rumble Club. I've been playing in polka bands for years. Btw, can't beat the sound of a P bass with flatwounds played through a 500c for that classic polka tone.

I've noticed that adding a small amount of o/d gets an Almost tuba sound
