Fender Rumble Club

I just picked up my Rumble 500 combo last week and am expecting the 210 extension cab from Sweetwater this weekend! I will be all set for a summer full of outdoor gigs without breaking my back!

That’s my 2017 Fender Deluxe Active Precision strung with LaBella Original Vintage flats. What a bass! I’m still working on the perfect EQ settings for it, which will, of course, go out the window when I set up in a different room!

Can I get a numero please? By the way, I also play GK and TC amps, and have been using Avatar and Aguilar cabs. The Fender is a different beast altogether, and a nice, new addition to my arsenal.

Welcome Rumbler #906. Nice looking rig. That P looks like the one I had in the mid 70s. I have my first outdoor of the season this Saturday. Check out the Fender Rumble Tone Pool. It will help you get started on finding your sound. And, the Rumble and a Fender P are the perfect combination. It's like the Rumble was designed specifically for the P. Rumble on!

I replaced the MIM pickups with a Fender Original ‘62 Precision and a Dimarzio Ultra Jazz. It sounds great! Thank you for the number. I will post an updated pic when I get that extension cab!

I put that same '62 pickup in a pawn shop P-Bass along with a new wiring harness. That bass is a beast and my Rumble really makes it come alive.

Welcome Rumbler #905! A proper looking rig for sure. What do you use the SCR_DI for? Seems a bit redundant to me. But, Rumble on!

I prefer the tone of it through the Rumble. I can also use it at home for recording, and can have either Fender or Ampeg style tones at the click of a button. I can also use it as a DI, and mess with the amp's volume and tone controls without affecting what's being sent to the board.

The '62 original is a great pickup. I put one in my 2001 p bass and it sounds awsome. It really has the bass growlin' through the Rumble. Vintage button in of course!

....they definitely have an upper mid bump...

I agree! That’s part of the reason I have them on this bass with the LaBella flats. They sound great, and most of the time, I solo the neck pickup. I modded an SX pj bass a few months ago with the same pickup config and a Hipshot Badass-style bridge, and that sounds fantastic and growly with rounds on it. Just an all around great sounding pickup.

I also use my SCR-DI when travelling without an amp, for practice through headphones. When I travel to Canada, I take it along, without a bass. Due to CITES, I rent a bass for $6 per day.

Just got my 1X15 cab to go under my 200C today. Will report back once I've actually used it, waiting for work to end and my daughter to leave so I can play.
But, nobody said anything about wheels! These wheels are roady cart bad-ass!
I'm blind so when I unpacked it, I found the small box, wondered what it was and J*sus Chr*st! It's way cool! Flipped the cab over and snapped them in. One of the bennies of telecommuting from home.
Long live the brown notes!

Yeah, the casters are cool. But the cab is so light weight that I rarely use them, so I tend to forget about them.
Wait until you hear how it sounds with the 200c. Going to blow your mind.

Check out the Rumble wiki page. It's got a ton of links to all of the Rumble Talks I've written in the past plus a link to the Tone Pool. The tone pool has been hacked and ravaged a time or two. Go to copy of page 1 to see the most settings. Sadly for the most part Rumblers have stopped contributing. Still good information.

YES ! CHECK OUT THE FENDER RUMBLE CLUB WIKI PAGE !

That wiki is cool. I read through it last night. Now I’m all excited to try out some things it covered when I get my amp back, and I’ve had it almost 3 years now. By the way, got my 115 cab tonight. Now it’s just sitting there with a 3ft 14awg cable hanging out the back of it patiently waiting for the Rumble 500c to come back home to plug into.
