Works for me. I find it does make a bit of difference if using an active or passive bass too. I have active basses mainly so 9oclock on the gain usually is sufficient. My Ric 4003 of course is a passive bass so I usually give the gain just a tad more to adjust for the lower input signal but 9oclock setting on the gain is a good place to start, then adjust with the master volume if a bit more thrombo is needed..lol

Hi there, silly question incoming. I’m going to a rehearsal place tonight. I’ll bring my v3 Rumble 500 combo with me but I’ve been told that there’s a v3 200 combo overthere. You see me coming: I’m curious to know if I could send my 500 combo to the 200’s return , for the fun and to hear an added 115 speaker. But I prefer to ask because there might be some physics law against it and I could be arrested. The question is: is that dangerous for the amps? Thanks

Just picked up a new-to-me V1 Rumble 100 2x10 combo... Been playing my MusicMan Sub5 (SLO USA) through a Rumble owned by a friend for several months and had to find one of my own.

Both horn tweeters on, and it really rocked some of my effects! Even just dry, it was great!
Only complaint? It wasn't around when I still had my Fender Rhodes 73 in the early 90s! What one of these would do to a Fender Rhodes! Yeah it's a bass amp, but keys players often used bass amps to plug electric pianos with pickups into.
Anyhow, it's really awesome, and i'm pretty sure things shook in the upstairs neighbors' place. Though, unlike the prior neighbors, they actually like having a bassist bellow them and a drummer in the house next door.
Plug away Leo..give 'em heck..loll By the way Leo there wernt too many things heavier than my old Peavey 1820 cab except a Fender Rhodes..lol.. i loved the sound of those beasts too.
Super Groovy Baby! The V1 2x10 Rumble 100 was introduced in 2006 and manufactured concurrently with the 1x15 Rumble 100 (introduced 2003) until 2009. They would be replaced the Rumble 150 1x15 combo and the almighty Rumble 350 2x10 combo when the V2 Rumbles were introduced at Winter NAMM 2010.

Not dangerous, but keep an ear out for the speakers stressing, if going LOUD.
I wouldn't bother doing it, coz the R500C (& prob the 200C too) would be plenty. But I don't think there's any harm in trying it

Gave the Rumblec500 head a good workout in my practice room this evening. A little woolier than the GK, but gonna be some good tones on stage tomorrow evening, me thinks. Thinking I may use the Rumble for rock gigs and the GK for jazz, since it seems to have a little brighter tone.
