Speaker question for you guys , all things being equal , in this case , Rumble 500 head played through 2 x 112 rumble cabinets , vrs . same Rumble head and just 1 115 cab . would the 2 12 cabs be as room filling , and have as much good low end as the 115 or close ? thanks .

More. Much More. More Air Moved. More Dispersion. More SPL. More Watts. More. Much. More.

The Fender dealer has now set up a Rumble 500 stack:

4x10" on top & 15" on the bottom

Turns out one of the employees bought the Studio 40, so I didn't get to play with that one again.

To clarify:

1. R500h + 115 = 350 watts + about same cone area as a 210 = less air moved = less dispersion, unless cab is elevated = no speaker coupling, 'cause just one speaker (at least a 210 has some built-in coupling) = great low end

B. R500h + (2x112) = 500 watts + more cone area = more air moved = more room dispersion ,
if vertically stacked = speaker coupling synergy = great low end

B.1. R500h + 112 + 115 = 500 watts + little more cone area, dispersion, coupling = great low end

III. R500h + (2x115) = 500 watts + much more cone area, dispersion, coupling = great low end

• R500h + (2x410) = MAX EVERYTHING!!!

So, do you want less, more, little more, much more, or Max?

Hope this helps.

Stage 800. Just got it yesterday. Gigging it this weekend. Medium sized place. Looking forward to seeing what this amp can do!

LOL , there will be 1 person that will probly say 800 watts may not be enough with out PA support :p

Well, it's "only" 400 watts without an extension cab. But, it handle one or two 8 ohm cabs, or one 4 ohm cab to get to 800 watts!

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Rumble. Just stressing over whether a 100 is too small to use with a band, or if a 500 is too large to strap onto a motorcycle. Anybody wanna sway me with some cold hard facts?

If you are gigging with a band, get the 500. It's plenty small.

For some gigs the Rumble 100 is way plenty.

For some gigs .. . . . not so much.

The Rumble 500 will NOT fit on some motorcycles.

Other motorcycles .. . . . no problem.

To which do you aspire? See it! Be it!

I played a Neil Young tribute show (and children hospice fundraiser) for almost 200 people! It was fantastic, especially because we were just a spontaneous group of musicians from local musicians around the city and had only a few rehearsals. Out of 14 people, I only knew two guitar players. Most songs transformed into jam sessions and solos on up to two electric guitars and a saxophone (we had a marvelous saxophonist!). We had two incredible drummers, who really added another dimension to the songs. I gave and received lots of compliments from musicians and made new friends. Good times!

I took my Rumble 40 with intention of using it as a monitor for me & the drummer and going to PA, but we couldn't get to work. We had no sound guy to take care of it and I almost decided to just crank the volume up to 11 and hope for the best... Then I went to the console and eventually discovered that my channel was disabled from the master output. I enabled it and everything went well.

Here's what my base camp looked like:

Not pictured: CAR Aerodyne which I used for heavier stuff. But I must emphasize that the U-Bass tone and feel is perfect for slow/country-ish songs.

So I guess
keep on Rumblin' in the free world!
