Nope, didn't have to...I saw the "light"...funny side of this was, that while Grace Slick was singing White Rabbit, upstairs at the Retinal Circus in Vancouver, B.C., my group, and others, were down stairs, playing Mustang Sally and other soul tunes...was a good time.

Ok, Ok...not in the form of a question. In 1995 the Fender Rumble was introduced through the "Fender Custom Shop", a monster powered by 6-6550As. With an extension cab it would handle a 2 ohm load.

It will work just fine! Every bit as good as the Rumble 500 combo on top of a Rumble 115 cabinet, only it will match up dimensionally as the Rumble 210 is the same size as the Rumble 200 & 500 combos.

Thanks. The 200’s 15” sounds great, and the 10” tightness should really round out a full sound for funk and “ in your face” bass lines.

Having more fun with my little box of lightning, the Studio 40

Having some fun with a few effects today. Starting with a clean Fender Bassman 300 amp model. Added in what is call 'triangle chorus'. Tweaked that in nice and full. Switched the cabinet simulation to the Bassman 410 Pro and added some mid boost at 900 Hz which all worked together for clarity and definition. Striving for a very Greg Lake tone with my Fender Jazz and fresh GHS Bass Boomers which I easily achieved. Using it for a bass rhythm line built on moving dyads and running fills. Very King Crimsonish.

Next came the Octobot. Man is this fun! You have the original signal plus octave up and octave down. I mixed them for a more thick synth like sound. The riff I wrote is exceedingly heavy and very Pink Floyd like. It's all coming together. I wish I knew how to record. Oh well, it's all good!

Well, I finally had a semi-clever thought & to test out my theory that the Effects Send on the Studio 40 would pass the Pitch Shift effect, I tested it out on a Mustang GT, which basically has the same front end.
It does pass all the effects, but I doubt it sends cabinet modeling...

Now I'm debating with myself if I'm going to make the order for a Studio 40.
The only thing is, it would almost necessitate getting a separate guitar amp or I'll blow the tweeter in the Studio 40. (I know you can turn it off, but will a guitar have any high end with the new crossover?)

Maybe I'll go big & get a Studio 40 & Mustang GT 100, as they share the same footswitch. Too bad the little Mustang GT 40 hasn't got a input for a footswitch or an effects loop

hey guys, hoping someone can help me.

So i just got my new rumble 800 today and it's great. I can't connect bluetooth becuase the app tells me ive got to update amp firmware first...so i set up wifi correctly, have the green dot, and i'm on my network with good signal strength.

when i try to update firmware, i get an error saying "WIFI NOT CONFIGURED" and that's it. no idea why it's saying this, as i'm connected to my network!!

any help!?

Isn't amp & cabinet modeling itself also an "effect"? There may be different effects modules, or circuits, for different effects types, or categories, but surely they would be sent to FX Send?

Now, other brands or types of power amps & speakers may be voiced differently than the Stage & Studio's internal speakers, rendering the sound of their reproduction of the amp & cab effects differently, but they should still produce relatively similar sounds for different settings. No?

I would assume that said voicing of the Rumble extension cabs is similar enough to that of the Stage & Studio's internal speakers to be quite close, if not identical, such that their use would give accurate reproduction of all the effects.

But, I'm just expressing my expectations. I really dunno. Your testing, @Killed_by_Death, is valuable confirmation or refutation of this subject. Thanks for that.
