One Rumble Talk that does need to be written is a new Rumble history. The original that I wrote stopped with the introduction of the then brand new V3 Rumbles in 2014. A lot has happened since then. No, I'm not doing it.

LOL, I have a 25, 40, 100, 500 head, 2x10 cab.
The 500 head is backup for my Bassman 500. The 2x10 is if I want to use only the 500. The 100 I use for band practice, small gigs, and gigs where FOH is provided. In that case, it is a stage monitor. The 25 was my first. It replaced my old blown out v1 15 for home practice. The 40 I bought to keep at a gig I play weekly that is in a small room.

Well .... My affair with my Rumble 500 head has ended, this Sunday, we were doing a benefit/open mic, which was a bit long, 1-8 pm, out on an open stage, with good reliable house power, ( voltage was 121volts, I checked with my Flukie multi meter, and good ground ) after about 5 hours it just plain quit, wouldn't power up, air vents unobstructed, checked/swapped the power cords, brought out my back up amp and finished the gig, while packing/ tear-down, I tried it again, on another known circuit, same issue, won't power up, well this morning, it Powers up, but there is a one one thousand, two one thousand wait for it to power up, called Sweetwater, they had me go through a couple of ask and answeared questions, end result, is I got a RMA# and this amp is going back, just can't have an amp that may go out, granted any amp can go out, at a moment's notice, but an amp that's a couple of months old shouldn't do this, the back up amp was my other Rumble, Rumble 350, it really wasn't that hot, granted my definition of hot is somewhat different, as I'm in the Houston, Tx area ... Oh well, let's see what happens next

Well got a replacement amp from Sweetwater/Fender, took awhile but let's see how this goes

I really like this amp. But why does an amp engineered these days produce such an amount of white noise/hiss when connected to a fullrange cab like my 70's all original 2x15 showman cab ? It's 48 years old grandpa, a dual showman reverb all tube top is producing less hf noise than this amp. When connected to my v3 410 rumble cab, it's o.k though with the tweeter disengaged.
I really love the v3 500 top beside of this issue.
Btw, no matter if it's connected with one of my bass guitars or not , it's just a steady noise floor.....
Anyone has the same impression ?
