Fender Rumble Club

The judges send this fine print excerpt in reply [emphasis added]:

Decisions of the judges are final. Entries not valid where void or prohibited. Please remember not to phrase your answer in the form of a question! Answers so formed will be null, void and pointless, . . . . .

And you have been severely misinformed of any consolation prize, lest everyone purposely so enter.

Sorry my mistake. Curse that dreaded fine print....gets me everytime.:rollno:

Isn't amp & cabinet modeling itself also an "effect"? There may be different effects modules, or circuits, for different effects types, or categories, but surely they would be sent to FX Send?
The cabinets are integral to the amp model, and you have to go into the amp to change cabs. Changing cabinets can make some huge differences. It surely sends it to the speaker and the headphones out. It would most certainly send it to the DI. It would absolutely have to go to the FX sends too.

I would assume that said voicing of the Rumble extension cabs is similar enough to that of the Stage & Studio's internal speakers to be quite close, if not identical, such that their use would give accurate reproduction of all the effects.
I don't think so. The Eminence drivers in the Rumbles are too colored (in a good way). The single 10 in my Studio 40 is very Hi-Fi. It has to be in order to take on the different colors of the various cabinet simulations. Does a damn good job of it too. That is something @tombowlus could ask Fender for us. I also think that is why there will be a special Stage 210 cabinet and why there aren't going to be any heads.

The Fender Rumble Club Trivia! board has met in executive session and an internal investigation has determined that a certain weaselly underling is responsible for this unfortunate situation and they have been summarily terminated. (Some just wanted them fired, but nO-o-o-o, termination it was!) Anyways, the board wishes to assure the Rumble Faithful that this shall not happen again!! They pledge more transparency of your favorite pastime in the future and trust that all will continue to enjoy the fun in the spirit in which it is intended.
Long Live Linnin and Rumblers everywhere!

I am certainly no acoustic engineer, nor software guru, (I don't even play either one on TV!) but surely the software could be made to take into account voicing, or coloring, of regular Rumble speakers, both internally and in order to give the proper simulations of amps, cabs and effects when used with the existing mass of Rumble extension cabs?

Any special speakers needed for extension of the Stage 800 should have been developed and released with the amp. Not a shrewd business move if the existing mass of Rumble extension cabs don't reproduce the Stage sounds accurately; especially since the Stage can use two extensions at a time, which could easily overshadow the sound of the internal speakers.

Since the "special Stage 210 cabinet" is lagging the release of the amp, it should just be a cosmetic change from the regular V3 210, IMHO.

@tombowlus has been a refreshing wellspring of Stage & Studio inside information, and I thank him for that.

If this is true, then those of us considering the use of a Studio 40 as a Preamp Out (FX Send) to the Preamp In (FX Return) of a Rumble 200 or 500, or two for stereo!, might have to think twice!! We certainly wouldn't want our sound reinforcement ruining the tone & effects of our carefully crafted settings.

Also any, perhaps, premium price for special hi-fi speakers in the "special Stage 210" cab(s) could be a bit of a disincentive for those already familiar with Rumble cabs. It would beg the question, "Why aren't the Stage & Studio just V2 Broncos, instead of trying to be identified with the value-laden Rumble line."

Say it ain't so, Fender! Say it ain't so!

I will look into this!

That's basically why I thought the cab sims shouldn't be sent out, considering they're not under control of the specially voiced driver inside the box. . . .

But none of the effects sent out are "under control of the specially voiced driver inside the box" unless, or until, they are sent back into the box. By that reasoning none of the effects should be sent out of box, including reverb and everything. Is that what you were originally thinking? I can see it now.

. . . . modelers have specially designed FRFR monitors. (Full Range Flat Response)

In general, it seems to make sense to use special hi-fi, or FRFR, speakers for modeling, when the signal stays contained, or "controlled" (as it were), by those special speakers.

For the Studio 40 it may even be halfway reasonable to expect the FX Send to come back, most of the time, to the FX Return; thus remaining with the special speakers.

But, for the Stage 800, which requires extension cab(s) to reach the namesake 800 watts, it's unreasonable to expect that only matching special speakers will be used in those extensions, especially when they aren't even available yet! While it's quite reasonable to expect that any current production Rumble extension cabs will give very similar results as the internal speakers in these new Rumbles!

At least, that's the way I see it. Am I alone?

Recently I bought a Rumble 200 head. I like it very much.

I have a question about the HPF, at which frequency is it set? .

I tried the search function on TB and the Rumble Wiki, but no succes. And reading 1362 pages of posts in this thread takes to much time.
Welcome Rumbler #917! I don't know the answer to your question, but I'll bet @Linnin will chime in on that one. Rumble on!
