Fender Rumble Club

I did firmware update and registered from the website. It shows that I have an account, and it shows the amo as registered. Completely baffled, lol!
I've read you posts and still don't understand exactly what you've done or can't get to work. You said you scanned the cloud presets. Did you do that using the menus on the amp or by scrolling through the presets on the website? When you say 3 stage set screen do you mean the registration screens on the Tone app?

I accessed the cloud presets on the amp. And the 3 stage screen is the registration page I'm sure. In an example I saw in a thumbnail it had the three options, (1) sign up (2) connect (3) register [*in the thumbnail I saw there was a 'get started' option below those three circles. I dont see that and cant move beyond that page. But I am most definitely connected both through bluetooth and wifi. I can only imagine what stupid obvious step I'm overlooking. I've paired, and unpaired. I guess the only thing to do is to reset to factory settings and start completely from scratch.

Thanks for that. I've been unable to run the Tone app but my problem is the android level. I was able to finally access the cloud presets from the amp. Here's a link I found with step by step instructions Invalid Link Removed. It looks like step three is connecting your bluetooth. You say that you can't get past this. Does it give an error or just stop? There's a note in the link about location service needing to be turned on. Is it? Can you connect to your amp with bluetooth without using the Tone app? If yes can you stream music to it? If you can't connect at all that would indicate a problem with the amp or bluetooth on your phone. If you can connect without the Tone app then it's definitely an app issue. If you look at the reviews they have had real problems with bluetooth connectivity. They claim they've fixed the issues. You do have the most recent release of the app right?

I'm assuming app issue. I can stream music from the phone to the amp. Even gave the silent karaoke play along with ear phones, and it worked like a charm. Location is turned on in the blue tooth settings. I cant get the app to do anything once it gets to the registration page. It's so frustrating because I am stuck here and cant quite move on to explore all the other amazing tone controls, foot pedals. And settings because I wanna get this right. I dont like being stuck. I dislike more not having a human troubleshoot with me. Still love the product, but it seems like you're missing a lot of your not connected to the app ...

There's no reason why you can't explore all those things. In fact that's exactly how I need to do it. You can easily modify the presets, add effects, and create new presets of your own. All this is done from the menus on the amp. It would only be a little easier on the app if you got it to work. If you haven't already, I would suggest downloading the owners manual. https://www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/..._Rumble_Studio_40_Stage_800_Rev_A_ENGLISH.pdf

Already printed two copies of the extended manual and had them covered and bound. There's absolutely plenty to keep you busy without the app. I also have a Rumble 500. So, I'm not really inconvenienced too much just anxious. In addition, I keep having that feeling the solution in right in front of me but fail to see it. Maybe a little OCD?

That's how I do it. One of my favorite effects is the Large Plate Reverb: "The reverb type heard on countless recordings, based on the classic (and pool table-sized) EMT 140" I added it to the 01 Clean Bassman preset and also tweaked the EQ settings to suit my tone desire. Perfect for surf bass.

Have you tried disconnecting any other blue tooth devices and only using the app?

That was one of the suggestions, on one of the many pages I read . I unpaired all devices with exception of my mobile phone. I was not sure how to control the amo or app without the blue tooth. Would that be wifi? I really cant control anything with app solely, because I cant move past registration screen. This question, is one of the questions that haunt me, just because I really dont understand how the app can function without the phones blue tooth ... ???

So folks, this is why I think there should be a separate thread to address these technical digital Rumble issues. Other Rumble Club members must be bored to death. Someone needs to author the thread; take ownership, become an expert, and be the thread's facilitator on a daily basis. The thread would actually become a troubleshooting handbook of sorts along with all the helpful tips and insights this club is known for.

Sorry. I don't have a Stage or Studio but, I do know that trying to have two or more blue tooth devices connected at the same time, is a problem. At one point, I believe I read that you had your app and a blue tooth music app running at the same time. If it were me, I would try to get back to a fresh install with only the Fender app. This includes returning the Stage/Studio to it's factory settings. If you have an Android, see @Linnin 's post on V 6.0 and do this first.

Or, get on the phone with Fender and get them to sort it out.

I sincerely apologize if I took the thread in the direction of the dead zone. I've had the Rumble 500 almost as long as it's been on the market and still love it. The tinkering I'm doing is still more than satisfying, and love the new piece of gear and what I'm able to do, and what's its able to do and I've barely touched the surface. I'm usually pretty savy and can work through most issues. Didnt mean to welcome you to my nightmare. I'll be much more considerate. Let me get a newbie pass on this and I'll drop the app inquiries, deal?

I don’t mind the digital tech talk myself, but realize that others may. Seconded!

No need @Franklin Henry. You have a legitimate issue that deserves prompt attention & resolution. This club is for all Rumble owners; those that used to own Rumbles, those that will own Rumbles again, those that will not publicly admit to owning a Fender Rumble, and even a couple of individuals that simply cannot afford a Rumble or Rumbles are not available to them in their part of the world.

As far as I am concerned, you have no need to apologize for anything. You brought your concerns to the only forum available at this time. As an early adopter, I congratulate you for your openness and positive attitude. You are a pioneer and, with the support of Fender, you will be able to come back to us with the knowledge that, at least I, do not have at this time and help make informed decisions in the future.

I hope you contact Fender, get a resolution and let (at least me) know what to expect in the future.

Rumble On :thumbsup::thumbsup:.
