Fender Rumble Club

Thought I’d share a picture of my Rumble stack from my casino gig today. It’s the first time I brought out the extension cab, and it sounded really great. It handled my 5-string p-bass without breaking a sweat, and it earned some compliments from the house sound tech. Very nice!

Don't get me wrong, I like the Fender tone too. But I like the Ampeg tone as well. It's nice being able to get both out of the same combo. I have a Rumble 210 cab that I got to pair with the combo but don't need that much volume all the time. I leave that at my band's rehearsal place and take my Peavey MiniMax to plug in. The cab sounds great with that too. I enjoy the tonal variety.

I do this with my Carvin BX500 into a Rumble 112 v2,
...and then even the Rumble 200c with the v2 cab, yes it all sounds so sweet,
and I get all the thump I need.

I even ran the R 112 v2 with a GK BXL 115 and Carvin, yes indeed :woot:

I still would like to sell the BXR 115 cab and either find another R 112 v2 for a mini rig,
or get a R 115 v3 and a R 500h...

I can dream and I do :D

Sold the GK and got a R 200c in trade, on track to rig bliss drool

I was just sent a heads up that there were some issues with tone.fender.com and that they have been addressed. Also on page 59 there are some instructions on how to access Cloud Presets direct from the amp.
"“Cloud Presets” is a MENU utility button function (see page 33) that gives the user access to an entire world of presets other than those already found in the amp, including featured presets, artist presets and more. Through the amplifier’s WiFi connectivity, users can preview, play, download and share a wealth of cloud stored Fender presets that enormously expand Rumble Studio 40/Stage 800’s creative possibilities."

I am still having issues with getting the tone app to work. In connected both wifi, and bluetooth, have scanned the cloud presets, used the BT/Headphone/auxiliary options. But no luck getting past the 3 stage set screen. Two emails from from tech support no good. Reset, restored, uninstalled, reinstalled. It seems like I'm running out of options. Brightside is I'm only a week in and optimistic I'm the problem. Otherwise, it's a fantastic product with tons of versatility.

Where did everyone get their loop pedals for their studios and stages?
Either direct from Fender or from your favorite authorized Fender dealer/e-tailer. While you can get away without a pedal, it sure makes life easier with one. Calling up the tuner is just a foot stomp away. If you want to turn an effect on and off during a tune, you need the pedal. If you want to lay down a deep grove and solo over it you need the pedal to actuate the looper function. Popping from preset to preset in your personal setlist is better accomplished with the pedal.

Me Too. Keep calling Fender. They need to have a specialist to give direct support in this area.

They absolutely need a person on the other end helping to trouble shoot. I ran into a whole new list of seemingly sensible procedures and tried them all, and still no go. but, it is obviously picking up the bluetooth and broadcasting, I tested that. Its obviously connected to wifi because my firmware was updated and verified. There has to be logical explanation for failure, and sure fire path to success. #ReadyToRumble

Well Long and Mcquade only gave me the amp it seems. Doesn’t matter I can buy the pedal sometime since I don’t have a gig for a couple months

Contact Long and McQuade and/or Fender. If you've bought a Stage 800 you've paid for the pedal too already. Unless you bought a used one from them that came without the pedal that'd be a different story and hopefully one where you saved may beaver bucks!

So I have noticed a quirky thing will my Studio 40 and Bluetooth. When I connect the Bluetooth to play music through the amp I cannot connect with the Tone App. So what I do in that case is disconnect the Bluetooth with my phone and then connect with the Tone App. Seem weird but that works for me. I am on a Google Pixel with the latest OS. Not sure what it does with other devices in this regard.
