OK, I'm back on the coupling effect of a Rumble 200 Combo with 1-15" driver connected to a Rumble 1-15" Cabinet.
The Rumble 200 Combo is 23" x 19" x 14" and weighs 34.5 lbs.
The Rumble 1-15" Cab is 20.75 x 23" x 14.5 and weighs 39 lbs.
I thought the benefits of the coupling effect was for the same size drivers in the same size cabinets with the same size/tuned ports.
So, can someone explain how the size of these cabs can vary and the 1 x 15" Cab (only) weighs 4.5 lbs more than the combo and does not have an amp? Just wondering...does the Cab (only) have thicker plywood and more bracing?

Any single latching footswitch will work.
I got one for less than $20 from B&H photo, IIRC.
The cheapest ones will come w/o a cord, necessitating a instrument cable or you can make a cable from lamp cord.

That would be a perfect coupling for sure as long as the drivers themselves were also identical, and that is why you get to enjoy the 'coupling effect' even if slightly imperfectly.
Previously discussed. Yes the cab itself is larger. Mo' plywood is mo' heavy. Mo' bracing is mo' heavy. Steel handles. Castors. Additional acoustic lining/treatment. Mo' glue too. Now you is mo' smarter too.

Wow, and I is mo' grateful...even if in a slightly imperfect way...
Just got my Fender Rumble 40. Checking stuff out with my beginner bass, then going to be putting an Ibanez GSR200 on layaway soon. I'm loving the sound. So far been using the "Contour" setting with no overdrive. Have been putzing around doing stuff like bass to "I wanna be sedated", "Another one bites the dust", some really basic stuff.
